Overwatch Classic release date

What is Overwatch Classic?
Overwatch Classic is a series of limited-time events in Overwatch 2. According to Blizzard, these events let you experience the original iteration's heroes, abilities, and even maps. You can also duke it out in 6v6 teams.
"Each Overwatch: Classic event will feature heroes and balance from popular moments in the game’s history, ranging from the fast paced and frantic gameplay of the 2017 Moth Meta to the triple-tank, triple-support style of 'goats," Blizzard explained.
Overwatch Classic explained
In terms of what to expect in the inaugural Overwatch: Classic event, it takes you back to the original Overwatch 1.0 release from May 2016! The No Hero Limits rule is also in play for the first few days of the event, which means you can have up to six of the same hero in a team!
Speaking of Overwatch patch 1.0, this one includes 21 heroes, 12 maps, and four game modes. This also means the return of Hanzo's Scatter Arrow! Don't forget about Symmetra's original teleporter shenanigans and Mercy's Resurrect ultimate that can revive all of her eliminated teammates instead of just one player!
