Beast Hunt is back! Here’s our full walkthrough and guide.
Week 1 of the Overwatch 2 Anniversary 2024 event is now underway. In addition to Community Crafted Mode, this week features the return of the Battle of the Beasts game mode. Blizzard is calling it Beast Hunt this year as well. Here's how Battle of the Beasts works in Overwatch 2 and how to achieve victory.
Overwatch 2 Battle of the Beasts game mode
Battle of the Beasts is playable until Oct. 1 as part of the Overwatch 2 Anniversary 2024 event. This is a four-versus-four (4v4) game mode that requires your team to take down the enemy team's giant Orisa. To begin, follow your team's Orisa to the arena in New Junk City.
Next, work with your team to damage the enemy Orisa. Your team must also do this while duking it out against the enemy players. Take advantage of angles, aim for critical damage, and don't get pulled in by Orisa's ultimate. If you're playing as Soldier: 76, for example, use your Sprint ability to get away from the pull.
An objective appears after the first round of attacking Orisa. Capture this objective to claim the glowing orb above it.

Next, follow that orb back to the arena. If you've captured 100% of the objective, then it gives your Orisa a 100% health bonus.
Attack the enemy Orisa and team until the next objective pops up. Capture this objective, too.
Then, head back to the arena and defeat the enemy Orisa one more time to achieve victory.
That's it! A win in this game mode helps you progress through the Week 1 Overwatch 2 Anniversary event challenges faster.
