Looks like the girls in Nikke are swimming to new depths in an upcoming collab with Dave the Diver.
Once in every generation, a collaboration comes around that confuses the masses. Recently, Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, the popular "anime-styled" mobile game, announced an official collaboration with Dave the Diver.
Yes, you read the correctly. The popular game, Dave the Diver, which is a casual deep-sea exploration RPG, is teaming up with the intense third-person shooter, Goddess of Victory: NIKKE. The collab will see the introduction of a brand new Dave the Diver themed minigame.
The collab was announced on the Summer Livestream on June 26.
Nikke x Dave the Diver: The unlikely crossover
You know what they say, right? "Don't knock it 'till you try it, bro." This saying goes perfectly with the new NIKKE x Dave the Diver collaboration. At first glance, it sounds ludicrous, but after watching the trailer, it looks quite fun.
The new crossover puts the characters from Goddess of Victory: NIKKE into the world of Dave the Diver via a brand new minigame, fully rearranging their graphics into 8-bit versions of themselves.
The goal of the minigame is to collect ingredients for a restaurant you're running with Bancho. Bancho is a supporting character in Dave the Diver who runs Bancho Sushi, a sushi restaurant that Dave delivers fish to. However, in this minigame it's up to you to secure all the ingredients needed for the customers.
New diving outfits for NIKKE's Anchor and Mast
The NIKKE characters involved in the Dave the Diver collab are Mast, Anchor and Helm, the three members of the Aegis squad, a naval force in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE. Two new outfits will be introduced, one of which is free.
The first outfit in the collab is Anchor the Diver, which is a free costume for Anchor.
The second outfit is Mast the Diver, a scuba diving outfit for Mast.
While the third NIKKE, Helm, does also feature prominently in the splash art for the collab, the outfit she is wearing is from her SSR Aquamarine outfit released in 2023.

You'll also have guns via a NIKKE Armory in case you run into trouble. In the trailer we saw three weapons; Curiosity for exploring the sea, Glorious Strike and Treasure Hunter.

This isn't the first time Goddess of Victory: NIKKE has done a collaboration with another game, though. Back in 2022, the popular mobile title also partnered with Nier: Automata, the popular single-player RPG.

The collaboration between Goddess of Victory: NIKKE and Dave the Diver will release on July 4, 2024.
