SonicFox wins Mortal Kombat 1 at Evo Las Vegas 2024
After achieving victory, it has become a tradition for SonicFox to post about being gay and proclaiming that they're the best Mortal Kombat 1 player in the world. The player did this back in Final Kombat earlier this year, and they just did it at Evo Las Vegas 2024. At Las Vegas, they also celebrated the furry community. In the post-match interview, SonicFox talked about what this victory means to them and their biggest fans and supporters.
"It means everything to me. I do this for the queers. I do this for the furries. I do this for the minorities. I'm telling them that this could be you," SonicFox told esports.gg. "Just apply yourself, be yourself and you can overcome anything. Whatever life throws at you, we are here together."

"It legit is night and day to see that well over like 20,000 plus people or something like that over here. It's just insane. I've never seen something like that," they told esports.gg "I was competing in 2014 — I won my first Evo at 15. I can't comprehend that something like this could ever get as big as it can, and it's only going to get bigger. So I can't to see what's next."
