Excited for Mortal Kombat 1? Looks like you might have a chance to play it a bit earlier than expected.
Trying to play the new Mortal Kombat 1 before it releases on September 19? Warner Bros. Games is giving a select few the chance to really put the online servers to the test in hopes that it will allow them to work out any kinks in the game's online system.
Here is how you can get involved.
Mortal Kombat 1 to hold a Stress Test for various players
The goal of the game's upcoming Stress Test is to basically throw everything the server can take at it and see how it handles it. This will help identify any underlying issues the game may be having that developers have not experienced yet.
The cool thing about it is that anyone can be a part of it.
The game announced on Twitter today that the Stress Test will be taking place here soon, and people looking to get involved can sign up here. Though, an actual date on when the Stress Test will be held has not actually been announced.

Not only will there be a set amount of players chosen for the Stress Test, but it will only be open to PlayStation 5 users and Xbox Series X users. Any players who reside on PC or the Nintendo Switch will just have to wait until the actual game releases.
Luckily, there is no paywall to participate. Players will not have to purchase PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live to be included, which allows a huge number of competitors to join.
It sounds like the game mode players will be testing will be a 1v1 multiplayer mode, and will go up against other people taking part.
Unfortunately, though, Warner Bros. Gaming has not announced exactly how they will choose the players that get to be involved, so we will have to wait for that information.
