In terms of the format, the LCQ was a double-elimination tournament capped at 256 players. Whoever won this one got to duke it out against the other 19 invited players. Then, the Group Stage featured four groups for five players fighting under a single round-robin and first-to-three (Ft3) format. Two players from each group then advanced to the Finals to battle under a Ft3 format and double-elimination bracket.

As mentioned, the event featured 19 directly-invited players. These individuals earned their spots by being the top competitors at Combo Breaker 2024 and regional online tournaments around the world. The winner of the LCQ, GuiExceptional, joined Group D!

MK1 Pro Kompetition 2023-24 prize pool

  • 1st Place: $30,000
  • 2nd Place: $15,000
  • 3rd Place: $10,000
  • 4th Place: $8,000
  • 5th-6th Place: $5,000
  • 7th-8th Place: $2,500
  • 9th-12th Place: $1,500
  • 13th-16th Place: $1,000
  • 17th-20th Place: $500

Here is the prize pool distribution for the tournament. The winner received the bulk of it and became the game's first-ever champion!

GuiExceptional won Final Kombat LCQ on June 14. You can check out the recap here. Next, SonicFox, Faysalkombat, VideoGamezYo, Nicolas, NinjaKilla212, TheMightyUnjust, Scorpionprocs, and Xombat emerged from the Final Kombat Group Stage on June 15. After the Final Kombat Top 8 matches took place on June 16, SonicFox became the champion of Final Kombat 2024!
