The hotfix is somewhat unexpected. There were no maintenance notifications, and the changes were applied automatically.

MK1 patch notes

Here is information on the adjustments in the Mortal Kombat 1 August 2024 hotfix.

Takeda

This DLC character is the only one from the main playable roster who got some changes. Takeda MK1 has more armor for one of his moves, and the properties of two others are different now.

  • Enhanced Swift Stride — Active armor is longer by 10 frames.
  • Shooting Star and Falling Star (in the air) — These moves hit low instead of mid.
  • Swift Stride Phase — It’s no longer an overhead. After this MK1 update, it’s a mid.

Frost (Kameo)

The changes for this Mortal Kombat 1 Kameo affect one specific assist — Snow Flakes. They are Frost buffs.

  • Snow Flakes Cancel — The main fighter recovers sooner.
  • Snow Flakes — The recharge delay is lower by 120, and the recharge itself happens at a higher rate. Frost leaves the stage 15 frames earlier.

Ferra (Kameo)

The MK1 patch nerfed Ferra as well.

  • Health is lower 350 instead of 450.
  • Torr Stance: Slide! — The blockstun is now 5 frames shorter.

Tremor (Kameo)

For this Kameo, the MK1 update brings many recharge adjustments.

  • Rolling Rock, Transmute Ground Pound, and Transmute Lava Burst — These assists recharge slightly faster.
  • Ground Pound, Transmute Rock Punch, and Transmute Rolling Rock — For these, the recharge rate is even higher.
  • Recharge delay is smaller for Transmute Lava Burst and Transmute Crystal Wall Punch (by 40), Transmute Crystal Armor (by 180), Transmute Rock Punch (by 50), and Transmute Rolling Rock (by 60).
  • Ground Pound got a nerf. Its recharge delay is longer by 30.
