GuiExceptional wins Final Kombat LCQ 2024: Brazil’s triple threat unleashed!

After a full day of intense battles in Mortal Kombat Pro Kompetition 2023-24's Final Kombat Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ), Guilherme "GuiExceptional" Sartor emerged victorious! This win earned him a coveted spot in the Final Kombat Group Stage. Read on for GuiExceptional's winning moment and his journey to the top!

GuiExceptional wins Final Kombat LCQ 2024

As players and fans entered Toronto's Sheldon & Tracy Levy Student Learning Centre in the early morning of June 14, they got ready for an entire day of intense matches. Among the sea of people was GuiExceptional playing under the Shodown Gaming flag.

He began his journey to the finish line in the Final Kombat LCQ pools. There, he dominated the competition and advanced to the Top 24. After going 3-0, he went into the Top 8. There, GuiExceptional faced off against Kyle "ELCucuyFGC_" Taibot and George "Grr" Foulkes Jr., once again looking unstoppable by going 3-0 against them both.

When it came down to the grand finals, GuiExceptional fought Grr and went 2-3, but that didn't deter him in the grand final reset. Instead, GuiExceptional continued playing as Ashrah while constantly adapting to his opponent's moves.

In his rounds against Grr, GuiExceptional executed different timings and placings while sometimes opting for a mid-range and patient strategy. Other times, he chose an active and pressure-heavy playstyle. He also took advantage of wake-up uppercuts before his opponent adapted to his own gameplay as well. With a fatal slash at his opponent's Geras, GuiExceptional achieved a score of 3-1 and won Final Kombat LCQ 2024!

GuiExceptional heads to Final Kombat Group Stage 2024

After claiming victory, the player celebrated with his supporters at the venue. One of his supporters carried the Brazilian flag. Over on social media, GuiExceptional's fans also celebrated the win for Brazil. Pulenao, for example, noted that with GuiExceptional advancing into the Final Kombat Group Stage, there are now three players there representing the country. The other two players are Bruno "KillerXinok" Sousa and Pedro "Zeeus" Ribeiro.
