The Thai team won the PMWI 2023 title with over 90 points over the next-best team. Six Two Eight came in second place earning themselves a neat $232,500 in prize money at the Gamers8 tournament.
Vampire Esports dominate PMWI 2023 after a slow start
The team took some time to get off the mark. With an 11th-place finish in the first game and a 14th-place finish in the third. Fans were obviously worried about their favorite team despite two second-place finishes in Game 2 and 3. But once the synergy issues seemed to have been ironed out, Vampire Esports’ tactical acumen and positioning helped them broaden their lead against their opponents.
After some time it was evident there was no catching up to VPE. The race was on for the next two slots, where Six Two Eight emerged victorious.
There were several records that Vampire Esports set en route to victory. This event was the team’s tenth Top 3 finish in PUBGM history. Further, VPE Supachai "SchwepXz" Singkaew had a total of 18 rescues during the match, a new record in PUBG history.
