Mystic powers invade the cheerful world of Brawl Stars. They come from the popular series and bring iconic characters to the game — alongside a unique rogue-lite mode.
A new awesome event hits the mobile game Brawl Stars: with Stranger Things. Starting from Nov. 6 and up to Dec. 6, you can participate in a fearsome solo showdown, collect waffles as a special currency, unlock Power Cards, and receive Stranger Things skins for your brawlers.
Everything you need to know about the event is here.
Upside Down Showdown, a rogue-lite game mode in Brawl Stars
During the Stranger Things event, Brawl Stars features a pretty unique game mode: Upside Down Showdown.
- Battles happen in the parallel dimension of Upside Down. It’s a series of five Solo Showdown stages. At the end of each round, the top 4 players advance further. To win and receive the most waffles, you need to survive until the end.
The rewards in the Stranger Things mode are trophies and waffles.
- Waffles are the favorite food of Eleven, and they are also a currency in this Brawl Stars event. Earn waffles to spend on card packs.
How to earn Stranger Things waffles in Brawl Stars?
You can obtain waffles in the following ways.
- Rewards in Upside Down Showdown.
- From Boss Fights.
- In the Stranger Things event quests.
- From daily wins.
- As free offers in the Brawl Stars Shop.
Power Cards
To play Upside Down Showdown with a brawler, you need to unlock their card deck first. Use your free waffles or unlock more via quests and daily wins to have the deck for your favorite characters. Play with those decks you already have to earn waffles quicker.
At the start of a stage in Upside Down Showdown, you should select one of three suggested power cards. The range of options is pretty vast, including useful offensive power-ups, such as a quicker Super charge, and defensive buffs, like more health.
At the end of your run, you can check the card build and think about how helpful your choices really were.
Boss Fights during the Stranger Things event
Brawl Stars had boss fights in previous seasons as well, such as Brawl-O-Ween 2025. The basic formula remains the same — you team up with other players to defeat powerful bosses and share your chunk of rewards. New creatures to fight against come from the Stranger Things series.
We love collaboration events!
Brawl Stars can be fun and brutal at the same time. After reaching a specific skill level, you face more skilled opponents and may experience frustration from losing match after match. This may happen even in your personal best mode.
The variety of activities in the game is really vast: different modes and brawlers. This helps you shift toward a new experience and improve other types of skills.
Collaboration events spice up the fun substantially. They offer unique battles and give interesting rewards for your effort. More players return to Brawl Stars and make the matchmaking more diverse.
The Stranger Things event hits the spot with the Upper Down Showdown. It’s an exciting twist to the usual Battle Royale, and the game feels fresher with it.
Stranger Things skins in Brawl Stars
The collaboration event comes with the Stranger Things Brawl Pass season. Its main reward is the Eleven skin for Lumi.
For the Brawl Pass Plus owners, the Stranger Things season offers two Chroma variants.
- Retro Eleven Lumi
- Thrilled Eleven Lumi
In addition to Eleven, Brawl Stars has other Stranger Things characters as brawler skins.

- Dustin Nita can be unlocked for free after receiving 60 card decks.
- All the other Stranger Things skins can drop from card packs: purchase more expensive offers with your waffles.
- The Brawl Stars Shop may offer event skins for Gems.
November is very special for Brawl Stars, as we have the World Finals coming at the end of this month. The esports tournament starts on Nov. 28, and it can bring interesting announcements on the next brawler and the upcoming season.
