The best 16 teams battle for the chance to advance to the final playoffs. It’s the peak of competitive Mobile Legends: Bang Bang!

The M6 World Championship consists of three stages. The first one, Wildcard, is pretty much an introduction to the main Mobile Legends M6 excitement. Eight teams participated in it, and only the winner advanced to the next one, the Swiss stage. It’s where the MLBB esports competition becomes really serious.

Throughout five tournament rounds, the 16 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang teams battle in the M6 Swiss stage matches. Only half of them can advance to the final playoffs: the M6 Knockout stage.

The event demonstrates what is really possible in top-level MLBB esports. All the details of the M6 World Championship are here: the schedule, stream, participants, and results.

The MLBB M6 Swiss stage format

The Swiss stage format is nicely explained in the image below. Teams need three victories to qualify for the MLBB M6 Knockout stage. The first qualified and eliminated teams are determined after Round 3. At the end of each round, there is a draw ceremony to determine matchups for the next series of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang matches.

Teams here battle for a chance to win a piece of the impressive MLBB M6 $1,000,000 prize pool.

Notable MLBB esports teams at the M6 World Championship

15 teams advanced to the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang World Championship 2024 via the regional qualifiers. One team got their Swiss stage spot thanks to winning the M6 Wildcard stage — ULFHEDNAR.

Here, we highlight some of the teams for their previous achievements in MLBB esports. They are worth your attention at the M6 Championship.

The champions of MLBB M5, Falcons AP.Bren, do not participate in this event.

  • The MLBB Mid Season Cup 2024 winners, Selangor Red Giants, play at the M6 World Championship 2024. They are real title contenders.
  • NIP Flash were 3rd-4th at the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2024 but only 9th-12th at M5 World Championship.
  • Fnatic ONIC PH reached 2nd place at the M3 World Championship, but they couldn’t repeat this success after that.
  • Falcon Esports, a team from Myanmar, were 5th-8th at the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2024.
  • RRQ Hoshi were 3rd at the M4 World Championship.

Many of the MLBB M6 participants are freshly formed organizations or teams that advance to the international scene rarely (or even for the first time). It’s interesting to witness them battling for their place in the tough but exciting Mobile Legends esports.

The knockout stage of MBLL M6 World Championship starts on Dec. 7. The grand final is on Dec. 15. For everything about competitive gaming, stick around on esports.gg.
