Second Dinner just revealed full details for Marvel Snap's Masters of the Arcane season. The update features Merlin as a new character alongside Morgan le Fay, Nicholas Scratch, Jennifer Kale, The Ancient One, and others. Merlin enters Marvel Snap

Merlin is a new character in Marvel Snap. He's a 2/3 character who adds an Incantation to your hand at the start of each turn. These Incantation cards are Omniversal Presence, Once and Future, and Polymorph. The new locations, Camelot and Astral Plane, are quite fitting for the wizard as well.

  • Merlin [2/3]: At the start of each turn, add an Incantation to your hand.
    • Omniversal Presence [1]: [On Reveal] Replace this location with a new one and give Merlin +2 Power.
    • Once and Future [1]: [On Reveal] Shuffle your lowest-Power card here into your deck to get +2 Energy next turn.
    • Polymorph [1]: [On Reveal] Transform your lowest-Power card here into one that costs 1 more.
  • Camelot [Location]: After turn 5, set all cards here to 5 Power.            
  • Astral Plane [Location]: After this turn, add a 0-Power copy of a card from hand here.

As for the other Masters of the Arcane cards in this Marvel Snap update, they include Morgan le Fay, Nicholas Scratch, Jennifer Kale, The Ancient One, Nightmare, Dormammu, Clea, Kid Omega, and Cobra.

  • Morgan Le Fay [4/7]: [On Reveal] Return all your discarded and destroyed cards to hand with +3 Power.
  • Nicholas Scratch [1/2]: After you play a skill, +1 Power.
  • Jennifer Kale [2/2]: [Activate] Next turn, you get +1 Energy.
  • The Ancient One [3/5]: [On Reveal] Add Tao Mandala to your hand.
    • Tao Mandala [3]: [On Reveal] Copy the text of one of your Ongoing cards here onto your other characters here.
  • Nightmare [3/-1]: [On Reveal] Replace the text of each card in your hand with text from a random card of the same Cost.
  • Dormammu [7/11]: [Game Start] Begin a Summoning Ritual. (Add step 1 to hand.)
    • Summoning Ritual 1 [0]: [On Reveal] Merge your highest-Power destroyed card with Dormammu to continue. (step 1/3)
    • Summoning Ritual 2 [1]: [On Reveal] Dormammu steals 1 Power from EACH card here to continue. (step 2/3)
    • Summoning Ritual 3 [3]: [On Reveal] Destroy 2 of your characters here to summon Dormammu. (step 3/3)
  • Clea [1/2]: When this permanently gains Power, add Flames of the Faltine to your hand. (if in hand or in play)
    • Flames of the Faltine [1]: [On Reveal] Afflict an enemy card here with -3 Power.
  • Kid Omega [2/1]: [Activate] Destroy the next card you play this turn to gain its Power.

Marvel Snap Masters of the Arcane release dates

In terms of the release schedule for these Masters of the Arcane cards, they go from June 3 to July 1. Morgan Le Fay, Nicholas Scratch, and Jennifer Kale arrive first while Clea is the final one. Below is the full release schedule.

Marvel Snap gets new High Voltage: Overdrive mode and more

High Voltage: Overdrive is a new game mode in Marvel Snap that's only here for a limited time. Unlike the classic High Voltage mode, however, this version of it lets players earn Kid Omega and Cobra by completing missions and winning matches during an event that goes from June 16 to June 24.

  • Kid Omega [2/1]: [Activate] Destroy the next card you play this turn to gain its Power.
  • Cobra [2/3]: [Activate] Destroy an enemy created card here.

As for other Marvel Snap updates, players can look forward to the new PANdora’s Box III and Cosmic Dan Hipp albums and collect rewards by completing them. The shop takeovers feature Pandart Studio and Dan Hipp variants as well.

Those who wish to support Marvel Snap content creators can also participate in Twitch Drops for 65 Boosters of the random variety and 3,000 Volts in total. These Twitch Drops are available from June 17 to June 23.
