The M6 World Championship is just around the corner, with teams worldwide securing their spots for the pinnacle of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) esports.

The M6 World Championship is the second MLBB global tournament of the year, and the most prestigious one, following the MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2024 held earlier this year in Riyadh.

M6 World Championship teams

Twenty-three teams are participating in the tournament — eight teams qualifying for the Wildcard and fifteen teams go straight to the Swiss Stage. Below is the list of all participating teams:

Wildcard Stage

Eight Wildcard teams will randomly be drawn into two groups at the earlier phase of the tournament. Each team will play Round Robin Best-of-three (Bo3) matches, with the Top 1 team from each group advancing to the Best-of-five (Bo5) Decider Stage to fight for 1 spot in the Swiss Stage.

Swiss Stage

At the Swiss Stage, Sixteen teams will be randomly drawn with each other to fight from Round 1 to Round 5.

Round 1

  • The 16 teams will be randomly matched. Matches will be played in a best-of-1 (Bo1) format.

Round 2

  • The 8 teams that have 1-0 aggregate will randomly match. Matches will be played in a best-of-1 (Bo1) format.
  • The 8 teams that have 0-1 aggregate will randomly match. Matches will be played in a best-of-1 (Bo1) format.

Round 3

  • The 4 teams that have 2-0 aggregate will randomly match. The winner of this match will advance to the Knockout stage. Matches will be played in best-of-3 (Bo3) format.
  • The 8 teams that have 1-1 aggregate will randomly match. Matches will be played in a best-of-1 (Bo1) format.
  • The 4 teams that have 0-2 aggregate will randomly match. The Loser of this match will be eliminated. Matches will be played in best-of-3 (Bo3) format.

Round 4

  • The 6 teams that have 2-1 aggregate will randomly match. The winner of this match will advance to the Knockout stage. Matches will be played in best-of-3 (Bo3) format.
  • The 6 teams that have 1-2 aggregate will randomly match. The Loser of this match will be eliminated. Matches will be played in best-of-3 (Bo3) format.

Round 5

  • The 6 teams that have 2-2 aggregate will randomly match. The winner of this match will advance to the Knockout stage while the losing teams will be eliminated. Matches will be played in best-of-3 (Bo3) format.

Knockout Stage

Eight qualifying teams will play a Double-elimination Best-of-5 (Bo5) format. Winning teams will advance through the Upper Bracket while losing teams have to drop to the Lower Bracket.

Teams that lose in the Upper Bracket will drop to the Lower Bracket, while teams that lose in the Lower Bracket are to be eliminated.

Upper Bracket Quarterfinals are played in Best-of-3 (Bo3) format, while the Grand Finals are played in Best-of-7 (Bo7) format.

The total prize pool of USD 1,000,000 will be allocated to all participating teams based on their final rankings, with the detailed distribution being announced soon.

How to watch the M6 World Championship

Fans can watch the M6 World Championship Semifinals and Grand Finals at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur. The early bird ticket sale period was held from October 5-7, with the general sale period and the ticket price expected to be announced later this month.

However, there is still no official information on how to secure a ticket for the early stages of the tournament held at the IOI Grand Exhibition & Convention Center. We will update you as soon as we get the latest information.

Fans around the world can also watch the whole tournament online, as it is being streamed on various streaming sites including YouTube, Twitch, Facebook Live, and and TikTok.
