Only six teams remain at the M5 World Championship.

The M5 World Championship has shed off two more teams as it heads towards the pinnacle of the tournament. Fire Flux Esports of Turkey and Burmese Ghouls of Myanmar have both been eliminated from M5 following a Lower Bracket struggle.

Blacklist International eliminates Fire Flux in a revenge matchup

Fire Flux Esports came into M5 as one of the teams with potential. The Turkish lineup is the strongest in its country and has continuously dominated the Turkish Mobile Legends scene. But the team's international prowess has yet to fully bloom.

The team managed to qualify into the Knockout Stage as the top dog in Group B. It even defeated the Filipino powerhouse, Blacklist International, 2-0 to lead ahead of them.

But in the Knockout Stage, Fire Flux Esports was paired with a heated Deus Vult, who has been riding a formidable momentum. They were knocked down to the Lower Bracket and met against Blacklist International once again - who was more than ready for a revenge matchup.

Fire Flux Esports suffered a painful 1-3 defeat and was ultimately eliminated. The team depart M5 in the top 8 position, the same placement they achieved during M4.

The other side of the Lower Bracket saw no different story.

Burmese Ghouls faced a quick elimination at the hands of See You Soon

Burmese Ghouls had a solid history in Mobile Legends. The pride of Myanmar has previously finished in top 4 at M1 and claimed a second place triumph at M2. However, the organization has had a tumultuous few years and they entered M5 with hopes to recreate its former glory.

During the start of M5, Burmese Ghouls barely survived the Group Stage. The team scored the same points as the bottom teams of Group A, but due to a minor point difference, they managed to claim a spot in the Knockout Stage.

Burmese Ghouls delivered a strong competition against Indonesia's Geek Fam. However it still ended up losing by one match to drop to the Lower Bracket. And in the heat of an elimination match, Burmese Ghouls cracked and fell 0-3 to Cambodia's See You Soon.

Burmese Ghouls depart M5 in the top 8 alongside Fire Flux Esports. This is a respectable achievement considering how BG did not make it into the two previous M-series.

Only six remains..

The M5 World Championship now fields six remaining teams: Deus Vult, ONIC Esports, AP.Bren, Geek Fam ID, Blacklist International, and See You Soon. The competition continues tomorrow with exciting Upper Bracket matches.
