Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat trailer explained
The Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat trailer starts off with Dante and Vergil in their Devil May Cry 3 outfits. Vergil then talks about their positions and fates, which is a quote from Devil May Cry 5. When Dante asks Vergil to hand over the Yamato, Vergil says, "If you want it, then you'll have to take it." This is another line from Devil May Cry 5.
Dante and Vergil then duke it out against a bunch of enemies, using their arsenal of weapons and combos to take everything down.
Next, Nero in his Devil May Cry 4 outfit appears in the scene. He is shown with his Devil Bringer, which is his demonic arm. Nero recalls how he received its power before the video parallels him with Vergil. In Devil May Cry 5, Vergil ripped off Nero's Devil Bringer because it's actually the Yamato. The Yamato is Vergil's sword. Devil May Cry 5 also confirmed that Nero is Vergil's son.
After another montage, Lady appears in the Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat trailer. She fights alongside Dante and Vergil, taking down foe after foe. The trailer's ending teases the arrival of Trish. She's a character who resembles Dante and Vergil's mother. The ending also shows Dante sharing one of his iconic guns with Vergil before the latter says "Jackpot!" Vergil wields Ebony while Dante wields Ivory.
