Time to brush up your skills.

The CoD Mobile World Championship is back for 2023 with a huge prize pool and a much bigger format. This year, Activision has tied up with the Snapdragon Pro Series, a mobile gaming tournament by ESL to become one of the 10 titles in the tournament.

The partnership between ESL Faceit Group and Activision will extend for two years, the companies announced in a press release. So far, the prize pool for CoD Mobile in the next two seasons of the Snapdragon Pro Series is a humongous $1.5 million.

Here’s everything you need to know:

CoD Mobile World Championship 2023: Open-for-all with live event in December

The 2023 edition of the CoD Mobile World Championship is set to begin on April 27 with the in-game solo qualifiers. While the exact rules haven’t been announced yet, the format will be similar to previous years with players having to compete across ranked matches to accumulate wins. The top players would then qualify for Stage 02.

Stage 02 is the Team Play, another in-game competition. The qualified players have to form teams to compete with the best making it to the next stages.

For 2023, Stages 03 and 04 of the World Championship have been replaced by the Mobile Open and the Mobile Challenge, as a part of the Snapdragon Pro Series. The Mobile Open and Mobile Challenge will take place across seven regions.

The top 128 teams of Stage 02 will compete in the Mobile Open in a double-elimination bracket. The top 16 will then move to the Mobile Open Finals, which will be broadcasted live. Finally, the region’s top eight teams will advance to the Challenge Season.

This will be a four-week tournament in each region competing in a single round-robin format. From here, the top four will compete in the Challenge Finals across a double-elimination bracket to crown the regional champions.

The Challenge Finals will also serve as the qualification ground for the CoD Mobile World Championship Finals 2023, which will take place as a live event with $1 million on the line.

Snapdragon Pro Series Season 4 will also include CoD Mobile

Besides the World Championship, the game is also being added to the Snapdragon Pro Series Season 4. This will also feature open qualifiers beginning in September 2023.

The top teams will advance to the Snapdragon Pro Series Masters, taking place in early 2024 as a LAN event.

ESL has also confirmed that the game will continue to be a part of the Snapdragon Pro Series in 2023 and 2024. The announcement for the CoD Mobile esports roadmap comes as a reassurance for all players of the game, especially after reports emerged last month that Microsoft planned to “phase out” the game.

Now, CoD Mobile Esports has been guaranteed continuous action until at least 2024.
