The MENA region is one of the world’s fastest-growing gaming markets.
Carry1st has partnered up with Stellar Gate Games to grow the Blood Strike scene across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The partnership is centered around accessible payment methods, however, localized content and an improved gaming experience across the region are also part of the deal.
While Carry1st is a leading gaming publisher and payment provider in Africa, Stellar Gate Games refers to a joint venture between NetEase Games and Sandsoft. As for Blood Strike, it's a first-person shooter (FPS) game of the battle royale genre.
Carry1st, Stellar Gate Games, and MENA Blood Strike
Carry1st, known for bringing mobile esports titles like Call of Duty: Mobile and VALORANT across Africa, is expanding its Pay1st payment platform to the MENA region. The partnership with Stellar Gate Games lets players use local payment methods such as digital wallets and bank transfers.
"We are excited to join forces with Carry1st to expand Blood Strike’s reach in MENA. The company’s deep understanding of local markets and payment solutions will ensure a smooth experience for players in the region," Stellar Gate Games CEO Steve Zhang said.
He continued, noting Carry1st is an ideal partner because of the company's expertise in local payment solutions and success in bringing games to a wider audience.
Carry1st COO Lucy Hoffman agreed, acknowledging the company's experience in developing, licensing, and publishing games in different markets. This is in addition to effectively monetizing video game titles.
"Partnering with Stellar Gate Games is a key step in our mission to make gaming accessible to players everywhere,” Hoffman said. "We are excited to bring our payment solutions to select countries in the MENA region, helping deliver localized content and create a seamless gaming experience for players across the region."

With more support for the MENA region, the Blood Strike scene continues to thrive. Known for its fast-paced action, the game surpassed 50 million downloads worldwide in August 2024.
Additionally, according to consulting firm Analysys Mason, the MENA region is one of the world's fastest-growing gaming markets with over 380 million players.
