Get many Brawl Stars Ranked rewards with Pro Pass: Big changes

The game offers a new type of battle pass, specifically for Ranked matches. In addition to this, the very Ranked system gets substantial adjustments.

Traditional Brawl Pass seasons last for around a month. Most players have enough rewards from them — and quests to be busy unlocking new tiers. The new Pro Pass in Brawl Stars does not compete with this system but enhances it for more serious competitors.

Previously, Brawl Stars Ranked matches were a source of special drops with unique seasonal skins. Sure, you also could feel pretty good while reaching high ranks, even if climbing that ladder could be exhausting.

The new system should give active players more rewards as extra motivation to battle in Ranked. Also, we get new modes, advanced skins, a super high rank, and even more changes.

Long Pro Pass seasons in Brawl Stars Ranked

Pro Pass is a new Brawl Stars battle pass with free and paid tiers. To progress through it, you should play Ranked matches and earn Pro Pass XP. Sources of these new points are listed below.

  • Win Ranked matches: There is a weekly limit of Pro Pass XP available for you to claim.
  • Earn new Ranks.
  • Watch the official Brawl Stars esports events via the platform event.brawlstars.com: This can speed up your progress.
  • Buy Brawl Stars Pro Pass to get 2x Pro Pass XP and twice bigger weekly XP limit for winning Ranked matches.

Seasons of the new Pro Pass last for four months. The developers want to connect them to big esports events. So for 2025, we can expect the following seasons.

  1. The first one starts on Feb. 25 and ends close to the Brawl Cup 2025 in May. To get this Brawl Stars Pro Pass season in time, the Good Randoms Ranked season will be shorter — which does not affect the Good Randoms Brawl Pass season.
  2. The second season is connected to the Last Chance Qualifier. The Brawl Stars Championship 2025 LCQ happens in September.
  3. The last Pro Pass season is about celebrating the biggest Brawl Stars esports tournament of the year: World Finals 2025. The event is planned for November 2025.

What are the rewards in Brawl Stars Ranked Pro Pass?

If you ever opened the Brawl Pass section in the game, you certainly understand the difference between free and paid tiers in Brawl Stars. When you pay for a Premium Pass, you get significantly more rewards for your progression, including unique skins that commemorate your achievements. This remains relatively the same with Pro Pass in Brawl Stars Ranked.

Pro skins in Brawl Stars

The game has lots of skins: unique costumes and collaboration items, such as many Starr Toon skins in Brawl Stars. However, the Pro Pass system takes this tradition to a new level!

  • Pro skins have a few levels of upgrade: with new visual effects and cosmetic items, like spawn effects and animated brawler cards.
  • You need to obtain Skin Upgrades from Pro Pass or Ranked Drops.
  • Each Pro skin has 11 levels of upgrade. You can reach level 6 with the free Pro Pass track each season.

It was officially confirmed that Colt is the first brawler that gets a Pro skin. While the in-game visuals should be revealed later, we can see the concepts in the image below.

Pro rank in Brawl Stars: For the best players

Brawl Stars gets a new rank, Pro. It is the highest one in the game and comes after Master.

  • Master players can progress through three new sub-tiers: Master I, II, and III.
  • Pro rank unlocks the esports button, so top-ranked players can participate in Brawl Stars esports events.

Other changes in Brawl Stars Ranked include higher Elo punishment for losing matches in Legendary rank and above or the danger of dropping from Mythic back to Diamond.

Many players will be pleased to hear about the improved matchmaking in Brawl Stars Ranked. The main goal of these changes is to connect people of similar ranks without extending the search time in Ranked matchmaking. All the details are on this official page.

New Ranked game modes

While playing Brawl Stars Ranked matches, you get a randomly selected mode. The current pool has Gem Grabs, Hot Zone, Heist, Brawl Ball, Bounty, and Knockout. The game regularly gets new modes in casual matchmaking, and starting from the first Pro season, some of them can make it to Ranked.

  • Cleaning Duty is the first new Ranked mode. You may know it from the SpongeBob event in Brawl Starts — it’s Jelly Catch but with different visuals.
  • Brawl Hockey is the next in line. The developers plan to make some improvements before adding it to the Ranked pool.

Three fully maxed brawlers each Pro season

The days of the Toy Story collaboration event in Brawl Stars were sweet and bitter at the same time. It was a great feeling to play a fully maxed Buzz Lightyear, without the need to spend Coins and Power Points on upgrading this brawler. It wasn’t that funny to face opponents on Buzz Lightyear — especially with the full Showdown map filled with them.

Brawl Stars tries to get only the sweet moments from that experience. In the Ranked matches, you can select one of three fully maxed brawlers. They rotate every season, and it is possible to play them even if you haven’t unlocked these characters yet.
