For SRG Coach Arcadia, the tie-up with OG is more than a strategy, it’s the fulfillment of a dream of working with his idol, Ceb.
The world of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) esports is not new to surprise partnerships, but the latest collaborations between Selangor Red Giants (SRG) and OG Esports shook the industry to its core. Through a press conference during the MLBB Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) Season 15, SRG head coach Michael "Arcadia" Bocado shared how this team-up is more than a strategic partnership; it's a dream come true.
A Collaboration Beyond Expectations

SRG's partnership with OG represents a watershed for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) esports industry. OG is iconic for its contributions to the Dota 2 esports scene. SRG will benefit from an invaluable learning opportunity from one of the most well-decorated organizations in the history of esports. However, this move means much more to SRG Coach Arcadia.
“I was beyond excited when I found out we (SRG) were collaborating with OG,” Arcadia shared. “To be honest, I’m a huge fan of Ceb, and it’s such a surreal moment for me. It’s a mixture of pride and pressure; we’re carrying OG’s name, and that’s a huge responsibility.”

Working with Ceb would be a dream come true for SRG Coach Arcadia

For years, Arcadia has looked up to Sebastien "Ceb" Debs, OG's legendary player and co-founder. As one of the most respected figures in esports, Ceb's leadership and strategic expertise have inspired generations of players and coaches alike.
Arcadia has studied his style for years, watching his speeches, body language, and decision-making, especially in True Sight, Valve's documentary series detailing Dota 2's most thrilling moments.
“I couldn’t believe it at first,” Arcadia admitted. “Ceb is such an eloquent speaker, and when I watch True Sight, I always take notes on how he leads, how he communicates. When I heard about this collab, my first thought was, ‘I really hope I get the chance to work with him, to learn from one of my idols in esports.’”
OG recently announced the release of Ceb for its Dota 2 roster, along with other members Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon and Jian Wei “xNova-” Yap. Despite this, Ceb promises to stay in touch with the team behind the scenes while focusing on content creation. This means Arcadia's dream collaboration is still possible despite Ceb no longer being active in the esports scene.
Raising the Stakes in Malaysia’s MLBB Scene

The timing of this partnership coincides with major developments in the MLBB competitive scene, especially in Malaysia (MY). This is because the regions now get to compete for two spots for the upcoming EWX x MSC 2025 tournament instead of one. SRG Coach Arcadia thinks this shift will propel MPL Malaysia teams to greater heights.
“Having two slots is a big motivator,” he explained. “With just one slot, the competitive level is still there, but if your team isn’t mentally strong, it’s easy to lose confidence after a couple of losses. With two slots, teams will be more driven to fight for their place at MSC. Everyone wants to be there, especially with the massive prize pool on the line.”
