M7 World Championship received changes to its slot allocations.

The slot allocations for the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) M7 World Championship have been unveiled. The upcoming event brings a lot of changes, including the return of the Japan region and two wild card slots instead of one.

Another surprising update for the event is the exclusion of the North America (NA) region. This region has been participating since the M1 World Championship. While fans of the NA region will be disappointed, the upcoming international event does open its doors to new teams.

The M7 World Championship is the climax event for MLBB esports. The best teams from various regions compete on the big stage for the prestigious world champion title. 22 of the world’s finest will clash for the $1 million prize pool. The M7 World Championship is split into two phases.

Here is a quick rundown of the participating teams in the main event:

  • Philippines  (2 slots)
  • Malaysia  (2 slots)

  • MENA (1 slot)
  • Turkiye (1 slot)

When does the M7 World Championship start?

There is no exact date for when the M7 World Championship will start. However, we can expect it to have a January 2026 schedule. The event will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia. Despite it being traditionally considered a closing event for the year, MOONTON Games has decided to move it to the following year because 2025 already has a packed MLBB esports calendar.

December of every year was always the month for M-series events. But with the 33rd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games 2025 taking place from December 9 to 20, 2025, the M7 World Championship has been pushed to early 2026 to avoid overlapping with the multi-sport event.
