With the reveal of the Nintendo Switch 2 and all of its technical upgrades from the first version, will Marvel Rivals launch on it?
The Nintendo Switch 2 is officially coming. We know about a ton of new games, features like mouse-style controls for the Joy-Cons, and even the price and release date. But what Marvel Rivals fans want to know, is it coming to Nintendo Switch 2?
There is zero chance it will ever arrive on the first iteration of the Switch. NetEase has all but confirmed that. In a prior conversation with IGN, however, they did note that a Marvel Rivals port for the Switch 2 is possible depending on the hardware.

In the discussion with IGN, producer Weicong Wu said the team is working with Nintendo on development kits. And that they are open to the Switch 2 when they know for certain they can provide great performance for their game.
Well, with what we now know about the Nintendo Switch 2, it seems like a Marvel Rivals release is imminent. You've got games like Fortnite and Overwatch 2 that run decent enough on the original console, so there is no reason the predecessor won't be able to deliver a great Rivals experience.
The screen itself can run 1080p up to 120 fps. When it is docked, you can access 4K resolution with up to 60 fps. It will have 256 GB of storage out of the box, and the entire slate of hardware for it definitely surprised prospective buyers.
So, while we don't know that Marvel Rivals will officially come to Nintendo Switch 2, it is appearing more and more likely by the day. And you bet we'll be here to update you whenever the announcement arrives that Marvel Rivals is joining the Switch 2 lineup of titles.
