Psylocke has been announced as the newest Duelist to join the Marvel Rivals roster, coming right when the game launches.

Marvel Rivals has revealed its latest hero, announcing that Psylocke will join the roster when the game launches. Based on the trailer for the hero, she is confirmed to be a Duelist character. DPS will be her specialty.

This version of Psylocke is called the Mutant Yokai Slayer. She is clearly based on the Peach Momoko comic run known as Demon Days, where Psylocke fights Japanese demons in the region's feudal era.

The Psylocke Marvel Rivals reveal trailer begins with some spiders following behind a bright pink butterfly of sorts. The butterfly elevates and makes its way to the debuting Psylocke on top of a building.

From there, we get a look at her abilities. There isn't a 100% guarantee on what's what, but you can get a good idea from watching the video.

She has the ability to dash forward, become temporarily invisible, and it looks like she may get a powered up form sort of like Hulk with Bruce Banner.

Then she begins to string together a combination of strikes, which may just be her melee attack or perhaps part of an Ultimate ability. Stay to the end and you'll see what very well may be a tease for Moon Knight's arrival to the game.

Psylocke will be available when Marvel Rivals releases on December 6, 2024. So, you have plenty of time to brush up on her lore if you want to throw out some knowledge while queueing up with randoms.

In canon, the two characters of Betsy Braddock and Kwannon have held the moniker of Psylocke. For this iteration, take a look at the Demon Days comic.

The katana, purple hair, and covered face are a dead giveaway that this version is based off of that run. As part of the X-Men and New Mutants, has been in several limited series, and has even had her own comic series in the past.
