Marvel Rivals TFT mode explained

Dubbed by some players as Teamfight Tactics (TFT) in Marvel Rivals, the new Ultron's Battle Matrix Protocol game mode is here for a limited time. Folks can check it out between June 6 and June 23. This game mode involves six players selecting hero lineups, crafting builds, and improving hero traits and abilities.

Judging from the preview, Ultron's Battle Matrix Protocol features a battlefield divided into a grid system, allowing players to position heroes strategically. As the match progresses, players can expect to see Venom devouring enemies or Hela unleashing rapid-fire projectiles. Strategies can also involve using ultimate abilities that heal allies and damage enemies.

Marvel Rivals update: June 6, 2025

In terms of the next set of Marvel Rivals patch notes, the Jeff the Land Shark - Sunshine Land Shark Bundle and 2. Wolverine - Weapon X Bundle store items arrive on June 6. Players can also unlock a free Tic-Tac-Toe spray starting a day earlier on June 5.

Meanwhile, optimizations include allowing Loki's illusions to perform emotes and enabling up to six sprays at the same time on the battlefield. Finally, fixes address terrain issues on the Hellfire Gala: Krakoa map.
