Marvel Rivals esports looks set for a big year in 2026 as the Ignite circuit gets a guaranteed $3 million USD annual prize pool. This prize pool is also uncapped.

This uncapped prize pool, starting at $3 million USD, also reflects the goal of making Marvel Rivals competitions more exciting and engaging, though it remains to be seen whether esports bookmakers are drawn to the competitive Marvel Rivals scene in 2026.

"The total annual prize pool will be uncapped, starting from a guaranteed $3 million USD," NetEase Games stated. "This reflects our desire to incentivize teams to enhance their player training and improve their overall performance, ultimately making our competitions more exciting and engaging for the audience."

Everything to know about Marvel Rivals Ignite 2026

In 2026, fans can expect a pre-season, two competitive stages, mid-season finals, and a grand finals. The pre-season, in particular, is quite interesting as it determines the initial seeding for all teams. These teams include ones from the Pacific region, which is a combination of Asia and Oceania, plus the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and China.

Stage 1 then runs from May to June, followed by the Mid-Season Finals in August. Next, Stage 2 occurs from September to October. All roads then lead to the Marvel Rivals Ignite Grand Finals 2026 tournament in late November.

In terms of the promotion rules, teams earn points from Stage 1, the Mid-Season Finals, and Stage 2. Only the top teams get Grand Finals spots by either winning the Stage 2 Playoffs or ranking high on the annual league leaderboard.

Marvel Rivals allows Marvel Rivals Championship 2026 (MRC 2026) teams to compete for league spots against underperforming pro teams as well. The highest-ranked MRC 2026 teams can enter the professional league based on year-long performance. Additionally, the 12 official partner teams receive limited protection from relegation.

Marvel Rivals Championship 2026

Speaking of MRC 2026, it features six competitive seasons and offers opportunities for esports teams to advance to the global stage. Marvel Rivals Season 6 is the final direct qualifier for regional ranks while Seasons 7 and beyond allow teams to earn points throughout the year to get into the Marvel Rivals Esports Pro League.
