A cinematic trailer, first shared at San Diego Comic Con, announces the inclusion of both Thor and Dr. Doom to Marvel Rivals.

Dr. Victor von Doom is one of the most iconic super villains in comic book history. The bad guy commonly associated with the Fantastic Four has gone at it with all of Earth's mightiest heroes. He's even been in Fortnite. And now, Marvel Rivals officially confirms Doom is headed to the shooter.

Let's go over the cinematic trailer that introduces the dastardly doctor.

Cinematic trailer announces Dr. Doom for Marvel Rivals, includes a look at Thor

The Marvel Rivals trailer begins with an army of Doombots, Dr. Doom's robotic minions, flying through the air. Anyone familiar with Doom in the comics will immediate recognize the glowing eyes and the hoods over the heads of the Doombots.

Heroes jump into action to see that the Timestream across its multiple universes is not in the best shape. We then get a look at the previously unannounced god of thunder, Thor. So, this really serves as the debut of two characters in Marvel Rivals.

He has a scuffle with his brother Loki and the trailer moves to show the one and only Dr. Doom. The mass of Doombots attack a group of heroes, but Doom is there in a past and future version. He then utters an incredible line, the same as the name of the Marvel Rivals trailer, "No one rivals Doom."

When are Doom and Thor coming to Marvel Rivals?

The hero shooter has had multiple test phases, with new characters arriving in each one. The Closed Beta Test saw the addition of both Venom and Adam Warlock. If another test is on the way, expect more characters to come.

Of course, we don't know an exact release date for Marvel Rivals or even the characters Doom and Thor. Expect them to join the game's roster in a new testing session or when the game is officially released for players. Whenever that may be.
