With the announcement that Viper will be rejoining the LCK, it puts an end to his time in the LPL. Throughout that time, Viper won the ultimate prize in esports, the 2021 League of Legends World Championship. Viper also helped Edward Gaming win another domestic title in that year, taking down 2019 world champions FPX 3-1 in the grand finals.

The 2022 League of Legends World Championship did not end in ideal fashion for Viper and Edward Gaming. The 2021 champs were part of the miraculous best-of-five which saw eventual champions DRX reverse sweep EDG on route to a historic worlds victory. That loss meant EDG crashed in the quarterfinals and fell out of Worlds altogether.

Vipers return marked another stint in the LCK, where he played for three years before making the jump to China. Before joining Hanwha Life, Viper was part of the famous Griffin roster which made waves in 2019. The roster, which consisted of many talented young stars, would rise to fame and push boundaries in the LCK. The young roster would even make it to the 2019 Worlds quarter-finals where they would fall to Invictus Gaming.
