The First Stand is officially coming to Brazil and a Southeast Asian country in 2026 and 2027.
It's a moment of celebration for the minor regions. Since MSI 2017 and MSI 2019, Brazil and Southeast Asia haven't received any international competitions. In the next couple of years, however, the smaller regions will have the opportunity to receive a major event thanks to The First Stand.
The First Stand 2026: Brazil
It's been eight years since Brazil held an international League of Legends event. In 2017, the MSI tournament happened in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. SK Telecom T1, now known as only T1, defeated the European team G2 Esports by 3-1.
The year became famous among Brazilian fans for the medal delivery by Ronaldo Fenômeno, one of the most famous Brazilian football players, to Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok. The MVP of the championship was Lee "Wolf" Jae-wan, now retired and a streamer for T1.
