Team BDS has rebranded to Shifters, causing other esports orgs and community members to poke fun at the new team name.

Swiss esports organization Team BDS, mostly known for its League of Legends team competing in the ELC, has announced its rebrand to "Shifters." Unfortunately for them, they were quickly piled on by the community and fellow organizations. All in good fun, though, especially in this relatively uneventful offseason.

Team BDS is now Shifters

The org announced its rebrand in mid-December, shortly followed by a roster reveal. For the LEC 2026 season, the following players will debut the Shifters brand.

  • Top lane: Shin "Rooster" Yun-hwan
  • Jungle: Mehdi "Boukada" Lahlou
  • Mid lane: Ilias "nuc" Bizriken
  • Bot lane: Park "Paduck" Seok-hyeon
  • Support: Adrian "Trymbi" Trybus

Meanwhile, they will retain Team BDS' Rainbow Six Siege roster.

The announcement was accompanied by a dive into the new Shifters logo, analyzing various components of the logo construction.

At first glance, this wasn't too out of the ordinary. Shifters is a new brand, introducing itself to the world. They just wanted to let the world know what they were about.

However, other esports orgs took the chance to post their own logo analyses. Take NRG, for example, which posted the below graphic.

"It's literally energy bro, idk what to tell you."
"It's literally energy bro, idk what to tell you."

Another org that joined in on the fun was Ruddy Corp. As an extra jab, it seems they had very slightly emphasized the use of AI for the body text.

Shifters took all of this in stride, posting how the rebrand went viral. But, their headaches weren't done just yet.

The new name has also caused the online community to come up with new "slander names" for the org. Quite effortlessly, a unanimous decision was made for the slander name to be "Shi**ers," while "Grifters" was a close runner-up.

After all this, all Shifters have to do is perform well in the LEC 2026 Season, beginning with LEC Versus. They have themselves a solid roster, especially with an import in Paduck and Trymbi's return to the LEC after his time in the LTA.
