The best League of Legends players in the world picked Arcane characters during their World Championship 2024 run.
T1 won League of Legends Worlds 2024 (LoL Worlds 2024), so they do know a thing or two about the game. If these players choose Arcane champions in the game, those picks might be worth considering for the rest of the community. Here, we take a look at the occasions when T1 players were on LoL Arcane Champions during the biggest LoL esports event in 2024.
Oner from LoL T1 on Vi during Worlds 2024
T1 started playing at LoL Worlds 2024 from the Swiss Stage. In Round 2, we saw them picking an Arcane LoL character. In the best-of-one match against paiN Gaming, the Jungler of T1, Mun "Oner" Hyeon-jun, played Vi.
- T1 vs PNG, Round 2: Oner on Vi vs Cariok on Sejuani — 1:0, T1 won that match confidently.
Vi turned out to be a good pick for Oner. T1 decided to pick this Arcane Champion in Round 3 as well. They played against BLG, which eventually became the key matchup of the entire LoL tournament.
- T1 vs BLG, Round 3: Oner on Vi vs XUN on Skarner — 1:0, T1 celebrated their first victory over BLG at the Worlds 2024.
The last match for T1 in the Swiss Stage was against the European LoL team G2 Esports. Once again, Oner picked Vi, but he did it only in the second game, as the match was best-of-three.
- T1 vs G2 Esports, Round 4: Oner on Vi vs Yike on Nocturne — 2:0, it was a super close game where one massive team fight decided the outcome. T1 won and advanced to the Knockout Stage.
Playoffs of the Knockout Stage
T1 played LoL Arcane Champions in all three matches of the Worlds 2024 Knockout Stage, but Oner took Vi only in two of them.
- T1 vs Gen.G Esports, Semifinal: Oner on Vi vs Canyon on Skarner (Game 1) and Nocturne (Game 3) — 3:1, T1 won the match and both games with Vi. It was the moment when T1 supremacy became obvious to everyone.
- T1 vs BLG, Grand Final: Oner on Vi vs XUN on Kindred — 3:2, in that match, T1 won their fifth LoL World Championship title. Still, they lost Game 3, where Oner took Vi. The Kindred pick was unusual for the event, and maybe this played some role.

While Vi is among the best Arcane characters for beginners, she is still pretty viable on the biggest esports scene. In addition to T1, quite a few other teams played this Champion throughout Worlds 2024.

Caitlyn was present in one match of Weibo Gaming. Jinx was picked for some matches by Gen.G Esports and Weibo Gaming.
