With 15 years of existence, League of Legends has a lot of information about champions, lore, reworks, patch notes, updates, events, players, and many more. The League of Legends Wiki was created to help players with everything they needed to know about the game. And with more recent games around this universe — Teamfight Tactics (TFT), Wild Rift, and Legends of Runeterra — a huge community needed to keep other players informed.

League of Legends Wiki

We don't know exactly when League of Legends Wiki started, but this page has been helping lots of players in the last decade. However, the page has been suffering with poor formatting and a lot of ads. To make the reading experience better, Riot Games stepped up and supported the page by creating a new wiki and removing any of those nuisances. Here's the new League of Legends Wiki.

"Learning how much work it took to update the wiki on some of our biggest patches was eye-opening and felt like one of the purest forms of caring for the community and our games. These players are ensuring that the history of the game, and all its changes are documented for every player that ever comes to it."

The new wiki

In the report, Riot Games assures that all of the content has been transferred to the new wiki. The company and the community have been working since the beginning of the year to make this possible. This new wiki will also be readable on mobile. The page will continue to be managed by the same players and more languages will come to the page soon.
