Riot Games confirm Arena return for League of Legends Season 1

Riot Games confirmed that the fan-favorite Arena game mode will make its return on League of Legends Season 1. They also revealed the new additions, on top of the things that they plan to change for the game mode. Check out everything we know about Arena's upcoming run.

According to the dev update, Arena's return is set for Act II of League of Legends Season One. Assuming that the season is evenly split in two, we'll get Arena on Mar. 4, 2025 with Patch 25.S1.5.

Arena will receive a Noxian update, the biggest being a Noxus map themed after the gladiator pits. Riot says that this new map will also have a new, unique mechanic.

This run will also feature the new Guests of Honor system across all Arena maps. Players can vote which famous Noxian gets to alter the rules of each game, across all maps. This mechanic will mostly replace Cameos.

As usual, new items and augments will be added. The Koi Pond map will be changed, based on player feedback.

LoL Season 1 Act I will feature All Random URF! According to Riot, a rotating game mode should be available at all times, so ARURF will last until Arena comes online.

League of Legends Season 1 brings us to Noxus, changing many aspects of the game both in and out of the Rift.

New items in the form of Tier 3 boots enter the Rift, alongside the new Epic Monster Atakhan. The entirety of Summoner's Rift gets a Noxian-themed makeover - from the Shopkeeper to the Turrets.

This new seasonal structure of League also brings changes to its Battle Pass, where players can now earn free skins. The first set of skins this season are the Masque of the Black Rose skins, and Elise's is earnable for free.
