Storied LEC caster Trevor “Quickshot” Henry is making a return to broadcast.

Longtime LEC caster Trevor “Quickshot” Henry will be returning to cast LEC for week 1 of Spring 2022 since taking a break in August 2021 to focus on his mental health.

Quickshot’s LEC break due to burnout

Quickshot was the face of LEC broadcast, having begun his broadcast tenure with Riot Games back in 2013, making him Europe’s longest-tenured caster. As a result, his role within the LEC broadcast team grew exponentially.

“I have been on a non-stop grind, challenging myself to do more and take on more year after year.” Quickshot wrote in the message, “As my role developed and changed, so did my responsibilities and expectations. After so many years, combined with an extremely difficult couple of years complicated by Covid, I began to suffer from burnout which impacted my personal and professional life.”

Quickshot then went on to explain that he had sought out help from psychological professionals after August and put himself in a “comprehensive mental health program” to get better. He explained how therapy helped his mental health a lot, and further understood what he needs in his life to be happy and continue in his career without burnout.

“I’ve learned a lot about myself, developed new skills, and have a deep understanding of what I need to do for me, for my mental health, and for me to perform at work and be the husband and doggo father I want to be at home.” Quickshot shared.

Quickshot further explained that he is officially back in the work mindset and has once again found optimism for his career path once again.

Quickshot LEC to show more vulnerability

This has been a new and invited change from Quickshot’s usual persona of positivity and fun, but he explains that his ability to be vulnerable now is something he intends on continuing with his supporters.

“I’ve learned so much about how important mental health can be, and I want to be a little more open in discussing some of my learnings, and mental health topics in the future. I am continuing my therapy and feel comfortable sharing some of those stories at a later date for those that may want to hear them.” Quickshot concludes before thanking his supporters.
