In the 2026 Season, LoL is getting stunning new skins. From returning favorites to brand-new themes, here’s everything announced so far.

In the first developer's video of the year, the Riot Games team unveiled some of the skins coming to League of Legends in the 2026 Season. Expect new Gundam-style skins, the return of Battle Academia and Firecracker, and much more. Here’s a look at everything Riot has revealed so far.

League of Legends 2026 Season: Skins revealed

Starting strong, Riot has announced four new skins coming in the LoL patch 26.02, which is set to release on Jan. 22. While Galio and Ornn will receive mecha anime-inspired skins, Briar and Samira will enter the Battle Academia universe. Galio's skin will be Legendary-tier, priced at 1920 RP. All the skins are coming during Act 2.

If you're a lore lover, both Galio and Ornn's skins are from the Iron Firmament/Steel Valkyries universe, where you can find skins like Ultimate Gun Goddess Miss Fortune or Prestige Cyber Halo Janna.

The splash arts are already circulating online. However, they are still of low quality. We will update the article with the high-quality versions as soon as Riot Games uploads them.

Firecracker return

The Firecracker skin line is returning to League of Legends in celebration of the Lunar Year. According to the Chinese lunisolar calendar, 2026 is the year of the horse. Lillia is confirmed to receive a new inspired Lunar Year skin, and we can already check out her incredibly beautiful design in-game.

According to previous leaks, Camille, Seraphine, and Caitlyn might also be part of this skinline. This was confirmed in the latest developer's video. While we couldn't see Camille's design in-game, she appeared in the background. We also saw Firecracker Ziggs and Ashe, confirming their skins for 2026.

The team also added that Firecraker is coming alongside the debut of a new thematic, Petals of Spring, made in collaboration with League of Legends: Wild Rift. In the dev video, they already show us a sneak peek of Yasuo's Petal of Springs new skin.

April Fools' and new skin lines

Keeping the tradition alive, Riot Games is bringing back the April Fool's skins to League of Legends in 2026. We have no information on which champions are getting them, but you can expect them to be funny and colorful skins. In 2025, we had Pengu Garen and the "Glizzy Overdrive" skins, featuring Shaco, Urgot, Braum, Naafiri, and Malphite.

Contrary to last year, the new April Fools' skins are set to release as standalone skins instead of fitting under a single theme. From the dev video, we can already confirm that Sejuani and Vex will be getting new April Fools skins.

In Act 2, Riot Games is exploring the "darker side of Demacia" with a new set of skins. During the First Stand tournament, they’ll also unveil a brand-new skin theme. While no hints have been given yet, we're very excited to discover these fresh and exciting sides of League of Legends.

Prestige, Exalted, and Victorious skins in the 2026 Season

The high-tier skins are also coming back. We have opened the 2026 Season with Prestige Veiled Lady Morgana, set to release on Jan. 8 with the Battle Pass. Later in the season, Sona da Mordekaiser will also get Prestige skins. As for Mythic Variants, Aurelion Sol and Master Yi will also be getting new ones in 2026.

As for the Exalted tier, Viego is the next inductee. He will be getting the Revenant Reign Viego, which will only be available through The Sanctum, the League of Legends gacha system. You'll need to use Ancient Sparks to wish on his skin and eventually win it.

Finally, Riot Games has also announced that Braum is getting the Victorious skin of the season. The players will be able to get it by winning 15 Ranked matches, in any rank, during Season 1. You'll also need to be at least Honor Level 3, so don't be toxic to your teammates.

That's all for now. Stick around for more League of Legends news, guides, and updates on esports.gg.
