The 2026 League of Legends World Championship (LoL Worlds 2026) event just got confirmed for Texas and New York!
LoL Worlds 2026 location
On Nov. 7, Riot Games announced on X that LoL Worlds 2026 will be held in Allen, TX, and New York City, NY. This will mean the tournament's first return to North America since 2022. LoL Worlds 2027 will then head back to Korea for the first time since 2018.
The announcement arrived just a couple of days before the LoL Worlds 2025 Finals, where T1 and KT Rolster will soon duke it out for the championship title and a share of $5 million USD. This year's LoL Worlds 2025 matches took place across China, with the Play-In and Swiss Stages in Beijing and the Knockout Stage in Shanghai, respectively. The competition will head to Chengdu for the Final on Nov. 9!
LoL Worlds location history
Since its debut in 2011 at DreamHack in Sweden, the LoL Worlds event has toured major cities around the world. The event has been hosted in regions such as North America, Europe, China, and South Korea, rotating each year to put the spotlight on different esports markets. Iconic venues have included Seoul's World Cup Stadium in 2014, Paris' AccorHotels Arena in 2019, and London's O2 Arena in 2024.
