Do do that, they must avenge the sad ending of the LCS and overcome their nightmare match. Only one of them will be able to remain in the competition and keep carrying the respect of the LCS on their backs. Who will be?

LoL Worlds 2024 FLY vs TL: Match recaps

Welcome to the LoL Worlds 2024 match recaps. Here you can find the key moments of every match between FlyQuest and Team Liquid. Come back here when the games are over.

Game 1

The LCS finals took place once again in the Riot Games Arena. The first kill went to CoreJJ's Tahm Kench. Team Liquid secured the three initial Voidgrubs, but Skarner, Orianna, and Lulu found a great pick on APA's Syndra, giving the mid lane an amazing kill. Team Liquid also found good picks in the bot lane, but FlyQuest fought back. The gold remained pretty balanced for both teams. UmTi focused on the objectives while APA died for the second time to Quad's Orianna. But CoreJJ was possessed, taking down a tower in 12 minutes of the game with Yeon.

Team Liquid took control of the Harold area while FlyQuest decided to focus on the pushing the side lane. The game looked good for Team Liquid, but letting FlyQuest scale was very dangerous. Impact's side lane provided a great gold advantage for Team Liquid with a Jax and a Trinity Force. But UmTi got caught in the bot lane, and Orianna kept collecting souls! Overall, the game was too quiet and without a lot of fights. Everyone played very patiently.

In a great fight on the top side of the river, Bwipo carried with an amazing K'Sante performance. FlyQuest killed three members of Team Liquid. The game started to slip out of Team Liquid's control. APA died again in mid, and FlyQuest took the enemy's Soul Drake and the mid-lane turret. What a confidence boost! Quad was unbelievably strong. UmTi was dead, and FlyQuest did the Baron, reset, and moved up to Drake.

With perfect picks in mid, FlyQuest began to crush Team Liquid's base. FlyQuest won the game with an amazing performance!

Game 2

Would this match be the last one from the Swiss Stage? Let's see! The first blood went to UmTi. Bwipo was ganked on the top side, and Yeon got his first kill. Not long after, he was ganked again, and Yeon collected another important kill on the top side. FlyQuest secured three Voidgrubs, but Team Liquid started to have a slight gold advantage. Yeon's Xayah was pretty strong, and the duo with CoreJJ's Rakan was amazing. Team Liquid got two kills on Bwipo and Inspired. It was not looking good for FlyQuest!

The fight in mid was huge for Team Liquid in terms of gaining more of an advantage and free kills. However, the excitement was too much, and Team Liquid ended up getting caught by FlyQuest, giving them three kills, including a bounty for Ahri. Team Liquid still managed to find great picks on Bwipo, but that didn’t provide much advantage in securing objectives. FlyQuest didn’t do enough damage to take down Team Liquid. Ultimately, they lost all of their teammates for a Baron.

Team Liquid cracked down FlyQuest's base, losing only two members while still taking advantage of their Baron. What a great game! FlyQuest found good picks, but they simply couldn't secure a kill on Team Liquid. With a Mountain Soul, Team Liquid moved into Baron, taking away any chances from FlyQuest. This marked the end of Game 2: Team Liquid won.

Game 3

The first Kled since Worlds 2021 appeared in the last match of the LoL Worlds 2024 Swiss Stage. This marked the 26th time that FlyQuest and Team Liquid faced each other. Which team would head to Paris? In a failed gank from Team Liquid, Quad escaped alive, and Inspired got the first blood. Not satisfied, Inspired went to the bot lane and secured a kill for Massu. In a huge gank on top, Massu got his second kill of the game. The game looked pretty comfortable for FlyQuest.

Quad's Yone secured a double kill in a disastrous fight for Team Liquid around the Voidgrubs. The game was slipping away from Team Liquid's grasp, with FlyQuest amassing seven kills, two turrets, and a 5,000 gold lead. It became increasingly difficult for Team Liquid to turn things around. FlyQuest controlled all of the lanes and the enemy jungle. Team Liquid tried to make picks on Bwipo, but they couldn't secure a kill. FlyQuest then did Baron, increasing the gold difference to over 10,000.

FlyQuest secured a spot in the Knockout Stage in Paris. What a great performance from the team!
