Worlds 2024 truly begins with the Swiss Stage!

The League of Legends 2024 World Championship (LoL Worlds 2024) event is steadily progressing as the Play-In Stage comes to a close. Now, Worlds 2024 continues with the Swiss Stage, beginning with the draws. Check out the LoL Worlds 2024 Swiss Stage initial draws and schedule here.

Worlds 2024 Swiss draw

The Worlds 2024 draw for the Swiss Stage happened immediately after the 100 Thieves vs PSG Talon match on the final day of the Play-In Stage.

The draws resulted in the following matchups. All of these games are on Oct. 3 and are best-of-ones (Bo1s). In order, the games are:

  • BLG vs MDK
  • TES vs T1
  • GEN vs WBG
  • FNC vs DK
  • TL vs LNG
  • HLE vs PSG
  • FLY vs GAM
  • G2 vs PNG

LoL Worlds 2024 Swiss pools explained

The 16 teams left in the competition are separated into four pools.

Teams from major regions who won their respective qualifying seasons or events are in the first pool:

  • Hanwha Life Esports
  • Bilibili Gaming
  • G2 Esports
  • FlyQuest

Pool 2 teams are the runner-ups of the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) and the League Championship Series (LCS). They join the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) and League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) teams who qualified via Championship Points:

  • Gen.G
  • Top Esports
  • Fnatic
  • Team Liquid

Pool 3 teams are the winners and runner-ups of the regional finals for LPL and LCK.

  • Dplus KIA
  • T1
  • LNG Esports
  • Weibo Gaming

The four teams that qualified from the Play-In Stage are in the fourth pool:

  • MAD Lions KOI
  • GAM Esports
  • paiN Gaming
  • PSG Talon

Note that there can be no rematches during the entirety of the Swiss Stage.
