DK x LNG Esports: who will be the first on the Knockouts Stage?
First, a European team, then a North American one. Dplus KIA is winning against all the continents and will now face one of its major competitors in the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK): the League of Legends Pro League (LPL). However, 2024 hasn't been a great year for DPlus KIA, but they managed to be the third Korean team to qualify by defeating T1 in the LCK Regional Finals. Will they be able to win again?
On the other hand, LNG Esports was third in its league. After a huge battle against one of their major rivals, Bilibili Gaming, LNG Esports wants to keep proving the supremacy of Chinese teams. Who is going to be the first team to qualify for League of Legends Worlds 2024 Knockouts Stage?

Worlds 2024: DK vs LNG Esports Matches Recaps
Welcome to the match recaps. Here you will find the recaps of every match with the key moments and best plays from every team.
Match 1
The first challenge before the Knockout Stage in Paris. Even before the minions arrive at lanes, Aiming's Ziggs was already without flash due to Kai'Sa and Rell's pressure. The first blood goes to LNG's Zika with a great gank from Weiwei's Vi. With all these things, the game was still balanced for both teams, anything could happen. The idea of an engage with Ziggs and Maokai was good but DK was still able to survive.
The problem: GALA's Kai'Sa was alone on bot lane farming and getting all the experience for himself. LNG ended up getting five void grubs on the top side and Zika won the 1v1 against Olaf. LNG was starting to get some kills and DK was not taking advantage of their scaling draft with a Ziggs and a Smolder.
Even with a free Harold, Dk was losing Kingen's Olaf on bot lane and a drake. Things started to get sour for Dplus KIA.
GALA was already too strong and Scout was crazy creating picks and killing everyone he could. Moham was caught in one of those picks by Scout and Hang and ended up dying. The free kills for LNG were causing real problems for DK. LNG was looking for their heads! GALA was unbelievably strong.
DK base was totally open for LNG but DK still managed to defend. However, the LNG's dominance was crazy. The Elder Dragon was the final key to ending the game and giving LNG the victory. What a performance!
Match 2
Will this match be a 2-0 for LNG or a change for DK to think about going directly to Paris? DK entered the game with more confidence than the first game and Aiming' Ziggs gets the first kill. Kingen ended up dying on bot lane by a four-player gank and GALA collected the kills. DK seemed to be doing great with the early game but, in an unnecessary fight on Drake's pit, LNG collects two very important kills to get back on track.
GALA dies in mid-lane to Vi, giving a great bounty, but Lucid ends up dying anyway. DK was being picked in every corner of the map, there was not enough damage to scare a Sejuani, a Galio, and a Rell. And on the top side of the river, LNG creates a great fight and DK loses four players. Where is the damage? Scout's play on the whole fight was perfect. It's safe to say this was one of his best LoL Worlds.
LNG had all the control of the game, and the upcoming drake was perfect for LNG's draft - a Mountain Drake soul in a team with three tanks against two mages. LNG was protecting its supremacy. But this fight was deadly for LNG - Aiming just saved Dplus KIA with a triple kill. Was DK coming back for the shadows?
Both teams were fighting like titans. GALA is saved by the tanks, and DK loses his support. Elder Drake was the last opportunity to decide who was going to win this game. The river control and vision on Elder was controlled by DK, but the fight was on LNG's shoulders, LNG was going for the blood, for the success! Aiming survives and even kills Rell, but ends up dying anyway.
What was this game? Elder and Baron for LNG Esports.
DK was not giving up that easily, they defended their base like warriors. It was very hard for DK to regain control of the game at this point. A fight on Elder Dragon was enough for LNG to end the game and get directly to the Knockout Stage. Welcome to Paris, LNG Esports! This is the first team to be in the quarter finals.
