Season 3 ranked season

Season 3 is coming to an end, and your ranked will be locked on Jan. 7. As usual, the queues will be disabled for 12 hours, so the League of Legends team can prepare for the 2026 Season 1. In this season, you'll be rewarded with a Victorious Draven skin and chromas. However, that's not all. Riot is giving some accessories to celebrate your highest rank during the year:

  • Victorious Skin Border that is compatible with all three Victorious Skins of 2025 (requires owning all three Victorious skins of the year)
  • Season 2025 Ranked Emote
  • Season 2025 Ranked Icon

WASD release

The WASD update is finally coming to League of Legends. As one of the most controversial additions to the game, we will finally see it out of the PBE. The mechanic will be released on most unranked queues across all regions. For now, Draft and Ranked won't support WASD.

Since this is a beta release, some queues or champions might be disabled in case of a "degraded player experience," as Riot Games explained. In this patch notes, both Briar and Taliyah will have the WASD disabled. Don't forget to report any bugs or issues to Player Support, so Riot can address them.

LoL patch notes 25.24: Champions

In the LoL patch notes 25.24, Sejuani will be the star of the buffs to champions. As a jungler that has been slowly fading away, especially after the buff to non-originally jungler champions, Sejuani is one of the weakest junglers at the moment. To bring her back, Riot is making her more viable in the top lane and making her Ability Power side shine more.

Among the nerfs, Mel was hit the hardest. She’s been one of the strongest mid laners since her release, and facing her has felt difficult for most players. In the short term, Riot is tuning down the power of her E so she’s less overwhelming to deal with. In the longer term, the League team is already preparing more significant changes to bring her fully in line.

Buffs

Nerfs

Runes

The most recent buff to the Bloodline rune has not been as impactful as Riot wished, so the League team will buff it a little bit more.

  • Life Steal per Stack: 0.4% ⇒ 0.45%
  • Maximum Life Steal: 6% ⇒ 6.75%

LoL patch notes 25.24: New skins

In the last patch of the year, we will have six new skins coming to the store. The Winter-themed skins for Smolder, Zeri, and Milio are ready to match your Winter map. On the other side, we will have new Mythic skins coming to Lucian, Nami, and the Prestige Winterblessed Mel.

As always, you can check the remaining updates to ARAM, Arena, and other bug fixes on the official League of Legends patch notes page.
