Here’s what players can expect when the LoL patch 25.14 goes live on July 16.

The League of Legends (LoL) patch 25.14 notes will be released soon. After the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2025 ended with a Gen.G victory, Riot Games is now aiming to bring down a few overperforming champions, who had been buffed to "shake up the pro meta." You can also expect a small rework to Kled, which will no longer build lethality items. The new ADC, Yunara, will also make her debut in the game, so don't forget to check out her kit before locking her in your solo queue.

For this patch notes, Riot Games also brought the new meta game with two modes called The Battle of Koeshin and Koeshin's Courtyard. Check out the overview of the LoL patch 25.14 notes below.

Yunara release

Our beautiful ADC, Yunara, is finally being released in League of Legends. As usual, the new champions come with a new skin, and Yunara will be part of the new Spirit Blossom Springs skin line.

New meta game

In the new meta game, you’ll uncover more of Yunara’s backstory through a 2D side-scrolling beat-em-up adventure, playing as both Yunara and Xin Zhao. The game spans three levels as you fight to restore peace to the festival (The Battle of Koeshin).

In the second stage (Koeshin's Courtyard), you'll need to reconnect with familiar spirits by befriending them once more. Each spirit requires only one petal per rank, and you can earn petals simply by playing League of Legends. To unlock all the rewards, you’ll need a total of 20 petals, but there are some helpful bonuses to speed things up:

  • Purchasing the Battle Pass grants you 3 petals instantly.
  • You’ll earn a 30% petal bonus when playing as Xin Zhao, Yunara, or using any Spirit Blossom skin.
  • Equipping a 2025 Spirit Blossom skin boosts your petal gain by 100%.

Note: These bonuses don’t stack. The maximum bonus you can earn is 100%.

LoL patch notes 25.14: Champions updates

Nerfs

Braum and Lee Sin were both popular during the MSI 2025 and will now get nerfed. Both of them will be losing some base stats. Riven will also suffer some nerfs since she has been too strong in the right hands. The nerf is particularly small, so if you are a Riven main, there is not much to worry about. The same goes for Yasuo and Sett. As for Twisted Fate and Zoe, they’re receiving more substantial nerfs, specifically targeting their damage output.

Buffs

Azir and Fizz have been a little bit far away from the solo queue since they became weak compared to other AP champions. Riot will be buffing both. Briar and Darius will get small buffs to bring them up to the queue. Fiora will see a bug that existed for over two years being finally fixed, as well as re-adding some old functionality as a way of buffing her teamfight capabilities.

The biggest buff goes to Zigg mid-laner, which has been weak for a while now. In the LoL patch notes for 25.14, Riot Games is bringing his explosive firepower back, without making his bot lane disproportionate.

Kled rework in the LoL patch notes 25.14

If you have been playing League of Legends for a while, you must have seen various builds for Kled. When Kled builds assassin items, his playstyle often shifts into a one-dimensional approach, landing a single ability to instantly burst down a squishy target. However, this build leaves him lacking the durability and utility needed to contribute meaningfully in larger teamfights or have an impact beyond securing quick kills. Now, Riot wants to move him to build more tanky and sustainable.

Items adjustments in the LoL patch notes 25.14

In the LoL patch notes for 25.14, aside from some items and runes, the champions' bounties will also receive a small update. First, the impact of farming on bounty calculations is being reduced, shifting the focus more toward kills. This change is intended to better align bounties with player expectations. Second, bounty suppression will now apply over a 25% larger area. This should help smooth out how bounties activate and deactivate, making them feel less abrupt or inconsistent.

Upcoming skins

Aside from the new Yunara skin, we will get new Nightbringer and Dawnbringer skins. These skins are part of a new strategy from Riot Games to release skins for champions in already existing skin lines (variety skins). In the LoL patch notes for 25.14, Hecarim, Yummi, and Kalista will enter the Nightbringer/Dawnbringer universe.
