Here’s everything you need to know about the now-live patch 14.24 of League of Legends. New skins, reworks and some nerfs are on the way.

League of Legends (LoL) patch 14.24 - and the last of the year - is now live in-game. "We're celebrating the end of Arcane with Viktor's update, a batch of Arcane skins including the first Exalted skin, Arcane Fractured Jinx, and a brand new type of cosmetic called Nexus Finishers", Riot Games writes on their patch note page information.

Champions nerfed

Ambessa

She being nerfed only a month after her release was not a surprise - that's usually what happens since Riot Games normally releases champions much stronger than the existing ones.

"Ambessa is still looking a bit strong after her adjustments last patch, specifically in the hands of players in higher skill brackets", Riot explains.

Corki

The Corki nerf was not big, but the goal was to make his early game more difficult so Corki players don't just deal too much damage in the beginning.

Elise

Honestly, you probably won't feel this nerf if you're playing in low elo. The only thing that changed was her base health from 650 to 620. This was a change more significantly to the high elo players and to give Elise less dominance in the earlier game.

Graves

This Graves nerfs was also directly to high-elo players showing a huge dominance with Graves. The goal was to decrease his burst damage and to give his opponents more room for opportunities.

Playing against LeBlanc is probably one of the worst things in mid-lane. This nerf will decrease her damage, especially in the earlier game.

Riven

On the other hand, playing against Riven is to feed your will to press ALT + F4. Especially in the high elo, she's been doing too well. Riot will decrease her shield during her dash.

Dr. Mundo

A pain in the ass (nothing else to add). Riot Game nerfed him a little bit by reducing his damage during his E, but nothing too noticeable.

Swain

Swain is a very strong and solid champion. Riot thinks he's too tanky right now so they will make him more squishy to physical damage so mid laners and ADC can give more damage.

Talon

Is there any Talon main there? We haven't seen one in a while. And Riot doesn't seem to be much interested in bringing Talon into the game again. They will decrease his speed making the jungle and abnormally magic resist.

LoL patch 14.24: champions buffs

As for the champions buffed this patch, we have some weird buffs: why are we buffing Master Yi, Riot Games? The professional League player's primordial choice, Rell, received a huge buff in this patch. Let's dive into it.

Master Yi

"We're buffing critical strike on Master Yi this patch with the primary goal of re-introducing crit as an alternate build".

Riot considers Twitch to be a difficult champion and his performance hasn't been great lately. So they want to help "our little rat" and power him up.

Champions adjustments

As for the adjustments, Poppy was adjusted to take out of the support role, nothing too significant (only a base armor reduction 38 ⇒ 35), a small armor growth (4.7 ⇒ 5), and a Q adjustment (Damage: 40/60/80/100/120 (+90% bonus AD) (+9% of target's maximum health) ⇒ 30/55/80/105/130 (+100% bonus AD) (+9% of target's maximum health).

Warwick was also adjusted. "In this patch, we're providing a feels improvement as a follow-up to the changes we made last month", Riot writes.

Glorious Evolution: Ultimate can now evolve after evolving all other abilities and collecting 100 more hex fragments
Obliterate: Evolving Arcane Storm now makes the storm grow 40% in size and gain +3 seconds of duration if it damages an enemy that dies. Maximum of 6 size increases and maximum of +6 second overall duration increase.

Skins

In LoL patch 14.24, you'll see Exalted Jinx on your front page. All the second phase of Arcane skins are also out, including Heimerdinger, Viktor, Ekko, and Warwick.

Mythic shop Update

As part of the chain of changes coming next year, Riot removed the orange and blue essence from the mythic shop as well as shards. You can also now buy nexus finishers. Riot wants to make the mythic shop more unique and exclusive.

ARAM changes

As for ARAM, in LoL patch 14.24 Riot decreased the overall healing, changed the gold bounty, and Cappa Juice hats cost now 100 gold, which means you can have up to 25 hats. The ARAM cup is also back, registrations are already open. The tournament will happen on December 14 and 15.

Others

In LoL patch 14.24, Riot added "an option to disable component auto-purchasing when attempting to purchase an item you do not have sufficient gold for", improved the clarity of the gold mete,r and removed the overlapping yellow ring that displayed gold spent on components.
