League of Legends developers have confirmed that LeBlanc’s visual rework is finally coming to the game, making it the first rework of 2025.
LeBlanc's rework has been talked about for years since our matron of the Black Rose was entered League of Legends almost 15 years ago, and she definitely needs a rework. The thoughts about this resurfaced with Arcane Season 2 and the appearance of the Black Rose. However, LeBlanc's update got confirmed with the Welcome to Noxus cinematic for the first 2025 League of Legends season.
LeBlanc from 2010
Let us show you how LeBlanc looks in the game as a 3D model. It's widely agreed upon that she deserves better than this old model with a weird appearance and design. The colors don't fit her personality and her role as the headmaster of the Black Rose's hidden political faction.
With the new themed era of League of Legends — Noxus being the first region, it's the perfect time for LeBlanc to be changed for the better since she is an important character in the Noxian lore. So, what can we expect from the visual rework?
LeBlanc's visual rework
First of all, LeBlanc will go through a Visual and Gameplay Update (VGU). However, as Riot Meddler explained on Reddit, "It's an update to her visuals and audio, with no or minimal gameplay changes." The developer talked about old-fashioned concepts that no longer serve this type of intervention because, in LeBlanc's case, she will not be receiving almost any ability changes.

Color palette and attitude
The major change will be to LeBlanc's color palette, going from a yellow and black with less fabric to a long black and red dress — the Black Rose's colors. Her hair color will be the same but with more details on texture. Her hairpiece will be smaller, redirecting more attention to her face. Meanwhile, her dark and mysterious makeup will be preserved. Finally, a new chest piece will add to her portrayal as an authoritative figure.
Her cape will be way bigger and more voluminous to further emphasizing her power. In one version, she is seen with the cape, and in the other, she is not. Her scepter will also change, not only in terms of color but also in its design, featuring more details like black stars, a red orb, and the Black Rose symbols.
When is the LeBlanc rework release date?
There is no official date for the release. However, we do know it will be during the first season and will also be the first rework coming to the game in 2025.
