Here’s the only guide you need to play Seraphine in the new LoL Swarm mode.

Swarm has hit the live League of Legends servers, and we're here to help you teach you how to play Seraphine.

Seraphine is a support and damage-focused character with a specific focus on projectile weapons. We'll break down what her abilities do, what weapons, upgrades, and passives, are best on her and how you'll want to play her.

Seraphine's three abilities are as follows:

Passive: Seraphine has a 33% chance to double-cast any projectile she fires.

E: Seraphine grants herself and nearby allies a shield and movement speed.

Ultimate: Seraphine micro-stuns every enemy on the entire map and makes herself and nearby allies invulnerable for a brief period. After a short delay, Seraphine sends out a wave that deals damage and knocks enemies back.

Seraphine's passive is her bread and butter, and makes her playstyle very simple. Seraphine wants as many weapons that fire projectiles as possible, and she wants to make a density of projectiles as often as possible in order to help clear the enormous hordes that will come in Swarm.

Ideally, Seraphine doesn't want to use any non-projectile weapons at all. Her passive does nothing for weapons that aren't projectiles, so while you should probably only be picking weapons with "projectile" in the description, there's still a divide in which of those are better and worse.

S Tier Weapons (These upgrade off of Passive stats that Seraphine already wants): Blade-o-rang, Echoing Batblades, Lioness' Lament, UwU Blaster

A Tier Weapons (The rest of the projectile weapons, these ones upgrade off of Passives that Seraphine wants less often): Ani-Mines, Cyclonic Slicers, Searing Shortbow, Vortex Gloves.

Every other weapon is significantly worse than the projectile options for Seraphine, but if you have to pick one, look for the ones that upgrade off of Ability Haste and Movement Speed.

Seraphine Passives Tier List:

As we've mentioned, she wants as many projectiles in the air as often as possible. The more projectiles she's firing, the more extra projectiles she gets. With that in mind, we've separated the Passives into how useful they are for most games.

S Tier: Projectile Count, Ability Haste, Damage

A Tier: Movement Speed, Health Regen, Area Size

B-Tier: Duration, Armor, Max Health, Critical Chance

Yuumi Quest upgrades

As an easy rule of thumb, take any upgrades that give you Ability Haste, more projectiles, or damage.

How to play Seraphine in Swarm

Seraphine tends to be her team's primary ranged horde-clearing, with her offensive abilities and specialty with projectile weapons. Despite her damage, she's quite fragile and her abilities synergize best with nearby teammates. So sticking near a tankier character like Leona, Illaoi, or even Briar will help make things easier.

Her E is best used to preemptively stop incoming damage. Especially when you're getting surrounded and need to just sprint through several enemies and facetank their damage to get out of a sticky situation.

Her R is one of the best horde-clearing options in all of Swarm. Use it when your team is getting overwhelmed and need to buy space. It's especially useful to help break your team out of a difficult situation. It's also great push into open space so you're no longer being approached from every angle.

That's all you need to know to get started on Seraphine in Swarm. Now get out there and stop the Primordians!
