We’re finally getting KDA Gragas.

Riot Games is finally releasing the skin we've always wanted: KDA Gragas. This is in celebration of the League of Legends 15th anniversary. Check out what's in store for players to celebrate this momentous occasion.

Players can begin obtaining various items from the in-game "LoL Player Days" missions on Oct. 9.

KDA Gragas and other skins

The game has had its fair share of running jokes. Star Guardian Urgot was one such joke that eventually became true (or close to it) with Pajama Guardian Urgot. Now, Riot has finally announced "Music Fan Gragas." However, we all know what it's called: KDA Gragas.

KDA Gragas is not the only fun skin being added. Cosplayer Neeko and Esports Fan Trundle will arrive with him. Ann-Sivir-Sary, on the other hand, can be earned for free by completing the in-game missions.

These 2024 Superfan skins will be released in LoL patch 14.20, scheduled for Oct. 9. According to an announcement, 100% of proceeds from these skins from Oct. to 9 Oct. 28th, plus a 3x match, will go to the Riot Games Social Impact Fund.

Three new champions in 2025

The development team also confirmed three new champions in 2025. The current cadence of three splits per year will remain. Starting next year, all splits will be themed and a new champion following this thematic will be released.

Each split will also have gameplay updates. For the first season, they are working on keeping competitive spirits high even when you have an exposed Nexus. The recently leaked Nexus explosion effects may be related to this.

Teemo rework

The Teemo Art and Sustainability Update (ASU) will be live on patch 14.20, too! This champion is also receiving a theme song that completely fits his image.

His lore will receive changes, too. Narrative writer River "TenPaces" Jaffe says that they wanted to "move Teemo away from the military vibes" and that he is now "very much a scout troop leader."

Arena, Swarm, and other game modes

Apart from the changes below, ARAM enjoyers can expect something novel. We don't know what it is yet, though.

Riot said that ideally, players will always have a rotating game mode they can play. In 2024, the game has not gone longer than a patch without an RGM. They teased another update later this year containing the 2025 RGM roadmap, but disclosed no other details.

Game modes lead Eduardo "Riot Cadmus" Cortejoso said that Arena and Swarm were "our commitment to invest in non-SR based modes." Unfortunately, he also disclosed that there are "no current plans to commit to older modes yet," so it might be a while before we see Doombots again.

Goodbye for now, Arena!

However, some bad news arrives for you Arena enjoyers. The team announced that Arena will not be a permanent game mode. It will return early next year, though. They said players can expect more progression, experimentation, and novelty.

Ultimate Spellbook will take its place in the meantime.

Swarm, Swarm, Swarm!

According to Riot Games, Swarm did really well. They saw the player base's immense interest in PvE game modes.

Nothing specific was disclosed, but the team said they are "looking into how Swarm will fit into our ecosystem and what we can do to improve the mode for future events."
