The 17-year-old LazyFeel is now unable to play alongside his team for the upcoming LCK Challengers Playoffs. Let’s understand why.

Trần "LazyFeel" Bảo Minh, the first non-Korean player to play for the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK), can't participate in the upcoming LCK Challengers Playoffs. This is because he subbed for another player in the major league. But how did everything start?

LazyFeel and Teddy's health problems

LazyFeel has played under the DRX Challengers team since 2024 when he first started his career at 17 years old. In January, Park "Teddy" Jin-seong, the AD Carry for DRX, caught the flu and had to be hospitalized. LazyFeel had to substitute for him in the LCK Cup 2025 games.

On the last day of January, Teddy was able to come back to the main team after all the necessary treatments. LazyFeel returned to the Challengers team. The problem is that LazyFeel is now unable to play for DRX Challengers in the upcoming LCK CL Playoffs due to the games played during his time subbing for Teddy.

LCK regulations

According to the LCK Challengers rules, "a player who has played in seven LCK games is not eligible to compete in the LCK CL Playoffs." One of the reasons is to prevent the abuse of money in the competitions. Even if LazyFeel was subbing for Teddy for health reasons, he can't play with the team. The announcement was made by DRX on X who recognized LazyFeel for his "outstanding performances and significant contributions to the team."

According to the LCK regulations, this is only applicable to the Playoffs stage. Since LayFeel played less than 38 rounds in the LCK, he can be part of the team during the LCK regular round.

Fans demand explanations

In recent days, fans have been very confused about the LCK Cup statistics, which now include LazyFeel. According to Riot Games, the LCK Cup doesn't count for the LCK. However, LazyFeel was considered the first non-Korean to play for the LCK. The same thing with him being unable to play for the LCK Challengers Playoffs. If the LCK Cup doesn't count for statistics, why can't LazyFeel play?

Others explained that even Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok had statistics not counted, but somehow LazyFeel's situation counted as a statistic. Riot Games has yet to make a statement about this question.
