In Season 2, Riot Games is enhancing its detection systems to more effectively identify and address inting and griefing in League of Legends.
Even with the inclusion of the Vanguard system in League of Legends, the players still struggle with intentional feeding (inting), trolling, and griefing from some of their teammates. In Season 2, Riot Games will give a few more steps to fight a problem that has been part of the game since its release.
Improving inting detection in League of Legends
One of the hardest parts is actually detecting when a player is inting since there are various ways of affecting your team's performance in League of Legends. Riot Games won't reveal exactly how this system works to make it more accurate. However, they shared some things with us:
- Expansion of automatic systems to detect trolling and griefing;
- AFK detection even if a player is moving in the base;
- You'll see the name of the player who was penalized in the behavior warnings.
Based on their evaluations, 10x more players per day will receive legitimate bans for game-ruining behavior than are currently actioned on for our current gameplay detections. However, we will only see more accurate data after the release of these updates.
