We're getting the first East versus West matchup of the year as Top Esports and Team Liquid clash in League of Legends First Stand 2025! Here are the details of the TES vs TL match in FST 2025.

TES vs TL in FST 2025

Top Esports is coming off of a 0-2 loss courtesy of Hanwha Life Esports. This was an unexpected outcome, even against the LCK representatives. Now being 0-1 in the total standings, TES needs a win not only to secure a slot in the knockout stage but also to improve team morale.

Speaking of morale, Team Liquid is riding the momentum of winning against Karmine Corp on day 1 of FST 2025. The rivalry between the LEC and the LTA (previously the LCS) has been long-running. TL's win against KC must be doing wonders for the team atmosphere, and being 1-0 up means they can have a little peace of mind.

Top Esports got first blood through using Braum's strong level one, but a level two gank by UmTi evened out this early lead.

Team Liquid were playing well early and the game was mostly even. They got the Feat of Warfare, too! The TES solo-lanes were getting strong though, and found themselves a substantial lead in the laning phase.

TES grew their slight leads with objectives and picks, but TL kept the volley and did not allow themselves to fall behind too far. They were successful in their efforts until everything went south after a particularly bad fight that resulted from TL wanting to contest a Drake.

The nail in the TL coffin was supposed to be TES taking Ruinous Atakhan, but the LTA reps took back a bit of ground after they picked up some kills. All this crumbled when Top Esports tore Team Liquid apart in a fight though, and the game was practically over afterward.

Game 2

The star of the early minutes of game 2 was Creme - he picked up a solo kill against APA in four minutes and got another kill shortly after. APA kept getting bullied, especially with Kanavi setting up a tent in mid-lane.

Team Liquid tried to stymie Top Esports' snowball with a few kills and picks of their own, but TES continuously picked up objectives around the map. Their early kills and quick Epic Monster takes granted them Feats of Strength early.

Kanavi's presence on Pantheon jungle and his Grand Starfall was godly in the laning phase, shutting down all of TL's plays. On the other hand, Impact's K'Sante was the one getting gold on their side. This would prove to be futile though, as his carries on APA's Hwei and Yeon's Kalista never went online.

Top Esports kept stacking objectives and snowballing their lead until they claimed the Baron Nashor that broke the camel's back.

Top Esports pick up the win against Team Liquid, 2-0.
