League of Legends Arena is back!
Isn’t it great to hear that Arena is making a comeback? Absolutely! The beloved game mode will return in patch 25.13, and here’s the best part: it’s here to stay for at least a year.
According to Riot Cadmus, players can expect minor updates throughout the rest of 2025, with a major update planned for the first half of 2026. After that, Riot will evaluate the mode's future based on how it continues to perform. As they mentioned when Arena first launched back in 2023, its longevity would depend heavily on player reception and so far, the response has been nothing short of amazing.

For the remainder of the year, players will experience Arena through the Grand Reckoning from Season 1, without any major changes to its core gameplay. Riot Games has confirmed that regular balance updates will be released every other patch, following a cadence similar to what’s done for ARAM. Additionally, when Arena returns, players will pick up right where they left off in terms of their Arena God Challenge progress and Fame.
Later this year, with the launch of Season 3, Arena will undergo a progression reset, giving players a fresh start. Alongside the reset, there will be new augments to earn and unlock. Riot Games has promised to share more details as the update approaches.
