Riot Games releases trailer for League of Legends Neflix animated series, Arcane

Riot Games has dropped it’s official trailer for their new Netflix series, Arcane. Centered around two cities, Piltover and Zaun, this new show is expected to come out this fall.

Excitement is filling the air as fans eagerly await Riot Games's latest project, Arcane. Arcane is an animated Netflix series that will focus around two fan favorite cities, Piltover and Zaun. These two historic players in League of Legends law plays host to some of the games most popular champions.

The trailer showcased many of the announced League of Legends champions that will play a massive role in the series. To the delight of many on social media, Piltover sisters Vi, Jinx and Caitlyn were front and center of the trailer. Other champions that were visible throughout the trailer were Jayce, Heimerdinger and Viktor. While the Viktor in the Netflix series may not resemble in in-game champion, this is a show that will dive deep into the League of Legends lore.

Arcane's teaser trailer fueled the excitement

As early as May, Netflix Geeked on Twitter announced Riot Games would be expanding beyond the game and diving into making a LoL animated series. This was not the first time a game developer took their IP to the streaming platform. Valve made this leap with the release of Dota: Dragon's Blood. A second season is on the way after overwhelming praise.

Hailee Steinfeld headlines impressive cast

Ahead of the anticipated launch of the trailer, the voice actors for the show was announced via Twitter. Singer and actress Hailee Steinfeld has been brought on to voice act the role of Vi, one of the main characters in the show. Here is voice actors that have been confirmed so far:

  • Hailee Steinfeld - Vi
  • Kevin Alejandro - Jayce
  • Jason Spisak - Silco
  • Ella Purnell - Jinx
  • Katie Leung - Caitlyn
  • Toks Olagundoye - Mel

Arcane's first act will drop immediately following the 2021 League of Legends world finals on November 6. The second act will drop on November 13 and the third on November 20. Each act will all contain three episodes.
