Whether you’re into League of Legends lore or Spirit Blossom skins, don’t miss the Xin Zhao motion comic now available in the game client.

The new Xin Zhao motion comic not only unveils key lore developments but also teases several upcoming Spirit Blossom skins. These skins are expected to arrive with Act II, set to launch on June 25.

Xin Zhao's motion comic

Xin Zhao's motion comic is now available in the game client, offering a glimpse into a chapter of his journey. After being abducted by Noxian soldiers at a very young age and forced to abandon his homeland to serve their empire, Xin Zhao finds himself grappling with an identity crisis. When Noxus ultimately falls to Jarvan III's empire, he is freed by the king. His mercy inspired Xin Zhao to be on the king's side. Now, Xin Zhao must confront the turmoil within as he struggles to define who he truly is.

Teased Spirit Blossom skins

The motion comic offers a sneak peek at the upcoming Spirit Blossom skins. Some are prominently featured while others are subtly hidden. Among them is Yunara, the upcoming League of Legends champion, who appears in her shrine form. In a conversation with Kennen, Xin Zhao reveals that he has often thought of her during his time among the Demacians.

Yunara was confirmed to be the next ADC, and she is coming to the game in Act II, which starts on June 25. As usual, when a new champion is released, they also arrive in the game with a skin, which for Yunara will be a Spirit Blossom one.

Spirit Blossom Hwei

One of the most eagerly awaited reveals is now confirmed. Hwei will receive a Spirit Blossom skin in Act II. Alongside the goddess embodied by the Prestige Spirit Blossom Lux skin, which is already available through the battle pass, we catch a glimpse of Hwei’s form. There is still no confirmation if Hwei is going to be part of the next Battle Pass or available in the store. Until then, we can celebrate the fact that Hwei is finally getting a second skin after his release in December 2023.

Exalted Spirit Blossom Morgana

Morgana does not appear in the Xin Zhao motion comic. However, she was already confirmed as the next character to get an Exalted skin at the beginning of the season. We also had the chance to have a look at her design in a Spirit Blossom art shared by Riot Games. On the left side, we see Morgana during the season trailer, while on the right side, we see a more detailed design of her Exalted skin.

Kennen, Xin Zhao, and Shen

Riot hasn’t confirmed Spirit Blossom skins for either Kennen or Xin Zhao, despite their prominence in the motion comic. Some players speculate that Xin Zhao’s focus this season hints at a potential rework, but there’s no official word yet. Released in 2010, the warrior could be due for a more polished design.

Kennen appears noticeably older in the comic, emphasizing his ancient yordle heritage. He never reveals his full face in his skins, always concealing it behind a mask. Kennen also mentions Shen, who shows up briefly in the trailer, but it’s still unclear whether Shen will receive a skin.

The next comic will drop on June 11. We will probably get to know more about Yunara there. That's all for now. Stick around for more League of Legends news, guides, and updates on esports.gg.
