Do you want a more realistic experience with your Zoi? Meet Smart Zoi.
KRAFTON has introduced a new experimental feature for inZOI called Smart Zoi. This feature promises increased autonomy for your Zoi, enabling interactions based on its personality. Can your Zoi independently interact with other Zois? Yes!
What is the Smart Zoi?
The Smart Zoi is a technology still in development, powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI). "This feature allows Zois to interact with the world with personality and realism, allowing you to experience simulations of unprecedented quality," KRAFTON stated.
How does this feature actually work? For instance, if your Zoi has a compassionate personality, instead of simply walking past a homeless person on the street, they will purchase a sandwich at a bakery to give to them. In other scenarios, if your Zoi notices someone performing or creating art on the street, they will cheer them on. At the end of the day, a Smart Zoi will analyze their daily experiences and suggest potential adjustments to its routine. This analysis will influence Zoi's actions the following day and shape their personality over the long term.

When you make your Zoi perform certain actions, you will be able to see their thoughts with the Smart Zoi feature. This opens up a world of possibilities and unpredictable actions for players to experience. In the initial stages, this feature will be available only for human Zois. Animals and other living beings will not be included in the immediate future. However, the developers have assured us that their goal is to expand the Smart Zoi technology to encompass all living beings as the technology advances and matures.
Smart Zoi hardware requirements
Higher system specifications are required for greater autonomy. Although this feature is optional, you'll need an Nvidia RTX 5070 Ti graphics card to run it in high settings. This graphics card was released last month and costs around $800.

Bugs and issues
Keep in mind that this is experimental technology. You may encounter some bugs. For example, you need to enter a prompt using the Zoi Pen, which currently supports only English. Here are some other possible bugs identified by the developers:
- New schedule items may fail to be created if your Zoi goes to bed late.
- Creating new journal entries and editing schedule items is temporarily disabled when playback speed is at 5x or higher.
- A Zoi’s inner thoughts may disappear very quickly during conversations with other Zois.
- Having many sleepy Zois (up to five) on-screen after 11 p.m. may cause the game to lag.
How to enable the feature
This is an optional feature, so you don’t have to use it. To enable it manually, go to the "Options" menu on the main page and click on "Gameplay." There, you will find the Smart Zoi experimental option, which you can turn on when the game is released. In the demo version, like the one shown in the screenshot, you won’t see an on/off button.

However, when you have access to the game, you'll see some configurations you can set. You can apply this feature to all the Zois in the city for a maximum of 300 Zois. The recommended option is to select "Small Group of Zois on Screen" and a "Queue Limit of 8."

Can I play without the Smart Zoi?
The disabled technology won’t affect your gameplay at all. You won't have the inner thoughts feature, but your Zoi will use traditional AI to perform activities and queue into random tasks. Since this is a very heavy feature for many computers, it's totally okay if you want to play the game without it. You won't lose the experience if you have the Smart Zoi off. The early access comes out on March 28 on Steam.
